there are plenty of people in haiti that dont have access to clean water or power, but now they can play soccer so thats cool.

Just seems like an out of touch with reality contribution to make to the country iyam. But at least he's doing something.

This ^^

haiti has so many issues. Half of Puerto Rico is still without power???? Let’s give them a sports complex tho because they ain’t living in makeshift huts and tents since natural disasters made that country turn upside down. Kids will always find a way to play sports. Hopefully the building will be a hurricane shelter but ffs you could’ve easily donated that money to help rebuilding the nation’s awful infrastructure (Or Puerto Rico).

Side note: in those situations who would you even write that type of check to?

Gotta look at the big picture. Ginger Jesus delivers a sport complex. Kids use this complex to discover they're really good at this sport, they put in 10,000 hours of deliberate practice, play professionally, make millions, and in turn bring more funds to Haiti #GodsPlan

(And I'm willing to bet he's bringing food and water as well)

Lol an athlete isn't going to suddenly improve the infrastructure of an entire country. It's not like he's building a few tennis courts. It's going to be a state of the art building that will be storm-proof and will probably double as a base of operations for providing help and care to the surrounding areas. I'm sure the Haitians are more than happy.
