Gregg Williams purposely played his safety back 15-20 yards because he couldn't trust his corners, he was average at best.

As @NVRamsFan said, that's his scheme. Your FS is going to play way off the LOS. Your SS is often going to be in the box or at least cheating up. Your CBs will almost always be giving cushions of about 5 yards. And you're almost always going to have someone blitzing. He plays an aggressive bend-but-don't-break defense.

I wonder if Cleveland has learned they have to submit the paperwork before celebrating the trade this time?

They have plenty of time before the trade deadline. All should be good.

plus the filing of the trade paperwork would make for a riveting episode of Hard Knocks.

actually, it might be better if at the end of every Hard Knocks episode, the camera zooms to the unfiled paperwork on the desk.

If it’s a 6th rounder that’s a decent deal, even if he’s just “meh”

or was the 6th rounder thing a joke?

2020 6th so basically they said will you give us anything and they said a 2020 6th and the Browns said alright.

Jamar Taylor was very likely to be cut, as most of the guy traded for late-round picks are.

That being said, the Cardinals CB room is pretty terrible and Taylor is worthy of seeing the field in the NFL. He's a horrendous #1, bad #2, solid #3, great #4.

Former bust 2nd round pick for Miami.

Traded to the Browns played well his first season here and 3 year 15 million dollar contract. Played up but more down year 2 with the Browns. One of many in our cornerback room, was going to be cut. the browns couldn't og got more for him.

Don't think he'll be a #1. I like him though as a #2/#3 option though.

Seeing as we have Patrick Peterson, highly unlikely he will be a #1.

Also he took a pay cut to 975K from the previous 4 million.
