ninjapirate
Heyman trying to say we could still be in on Stanton but that doesnt make sense because we don't really need an outfielder. get pitching roll with Williams, Altherr and Herrerra. Also trading for pitchers instead of signing tehm is cool and all just not really those guys exist that are available. I think Williams is going to be a trade chip paired with Hernandez to get an ace.

I honestly don't think these young good cost controlled pitchers the phillies want are available in any trade.
ninjapirate
At this point I kind of expect the phillies to do nothing to be better for next year.

flyguy1609
Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that Ruben Amaro, Jr. is "believed to be in consideration" for the Phillies' managerial vacancy. Get excited, Phillies fans. Of course, Amaro was the club's general manager for seven seasons prior to being fired in September of 2015. He has since served as the first base coach for the Red Sox. Phillies fans would surely prefer a more inspired choice. According to Cafardo, Triple-A Lehigh Valley manager Dusty Wathan, bench coach Larry Bowa, former MLB manager Eric Wedge, and Rays bench coach Charlie Montoyo are among the other names under consideration. Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reported Sunday that the club has also expressed interest in interviewing Rockies bench coach Mike Redmond. The process should heat up in the coming days https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/redsox/2017/10/07/torey-luvullo-brought-love-yes-love-diamondbacks-clubhouse/HsIpMKRh4Hid1hXDCBwwyI/story.html

Danger
Ruben Amaro literally ran the franchise into the ground. I will not watch the Phillies if he comes back.
