I wasn’t making fun of you. He’s a strong play in the red zone

That is just a brutal clip to watch for so many reasons.

Sure, let's hope Marcedes runs free on defenses like that this season, but, unless Dom has come out of retirement, it is not likely to occur very often.

As for the assertion -- "This is what happens when TEAMS think ...?"

More like, this is what happened with unbelievable frequency to the team playing D in this clip over the past several seasons (complete with the inside linebacker misdiagnosing the play, lacking speed to make up for it, and getting bullied to the ground while feebly attempting to make a play on the ball).

Perhaps there ought to be a moratorium on Packer defensive "highlights" from the past couple of years in order to permit the Pettine era cleansing to take hold.

He did make a nice cut, though. He looked better than Richard Rodgers on that play.

That's what happens when you combine: two DTs playing in something like the 5th and 2nd play of their careers, with excellent downfield blocking.

The kids got excited chasing the QB and didn't realize the OL were dropping off for a screen. It's a rookie mistake and a teaching moment. There's not a chance in hell that catches Clark flat footed last year, and you could probably say for Lowry.

Ryan and Rollins were both uninspiring, but also did their job in turning it back inside. There was just nobody in backside pursuit because our idiot rookies were still chasing the QB. Of the four major players on that play, there were 9 combined NFL starts. Kids do stupid **** sometimes.
