sunnygsm
Fed just lost in 5 sets. Apparently, he had a match point for a straight set win...brutal.

I hate players like Anderson and Isner. They aren't tennis players.
UKTexans
Speaking of Isner and Anderson they are currently playing out one of the worst tennis games in centre court history. Hopefully an actual tennis game breaks out, in between the myriad of aces.
UKTexans
Ok so this semi is still going 20-20 currently in the fifth.

UKTexans
This is a fabulous game. Nadal has really turned it up a notch.
UKTexans
Djokovic wins an absolute epic with Nadal. Should demolish Anderson.

DirtyDez
Nadal hasn’t won Wimbledon in 8 years. Is he really that much worse on grass compared to clay? Edited July 14, 2018 by DirtyDez

Kind of He is the great clay court player we've ever seen, his record on clay in unsurpassed by any player on any surface. He holds the following records for clay: - 50 consecutive sets - 81 consecutive wins - 46 consecutive wins at Monte Carlo masters (most of any player at any tournament on any surface) - 11 French Open Titles - 11 Monte Carlo Masters Titles - 8 Rome Masters Titles Given all his success on clay his comparative success on grass and hard courts would seem minimal. He's still won 6 titles outside of Roland Garros.

Nightmare
Well that was an interesting end to the Women's final. Carlos Ramos calls a violation on Serena Williams for receiving coaching, and she has a complete breakdown; shouting at him, calling him a liar, demanding an apology repeatedly at the next few changeovers, before he finally awards a game to Naomi Osaka. That was to make it 5-3, and Osaka served it out for a 6-2 6-4 victory. Thoroughly deserved for Osaka, and I'm of the opinion that Serena was deliberately trying to cause a scene because she knew she had no chance of winning without getting in Osaka's head. Even if the call was wrong (which it wasn't), after the initial rant you need to quit crying and concentrate on the game. Almost felt like she was trying to cause some controversy she could use as an excuse instead of just having to say she was outplayed. Osaka had a great tournament. Delighted for her.
