Yeah, FO4 can barely run on PS4 with one player; no way they could have anything more than 3-4 players at the very most.

I get lag like a mofo all the time. I'm not a perfectionist so it doesn't bother me and I assumed it was due to me buying the game used anyway lol. It does suck when fighting any enemy that flies since they sneak around me and annoy me even more than they already do.

People forget how much of an issues both were at launch. Texture packs are common mods but no amount of adjustments could fix New Vegas and FO3's awful combat.

That's why I can see FO4 for the game that it is: A drastic improvement in nearly every aspect. The exception being storytelling.

RPG elements were dumbed down pretty hard, that's what most people disliked.

Yep, that and the cool settlement building turned out to be pretty lackluster.

Speak of RPG elements getting dumb downed. Is anyone else hating this trend?

Fallout 4 is all a shiny coat of paint on top of an engine that doesn't run anymore. It's improved in the manner of being a shooter, but it took 5 steps back in the RPG and storytelling aspects.  And yes I do dislike the trend.

Meh.. did you play the Witcher 3? That was a fairly "dumbed down" RPG but may be the best RPG I've ever played. The RPG elements were pretty shallow.

Someone on Reddit did the math, and based on the time at which the sign in the trailer switched from Good Night to Good Morning, it seems that sunrise is at ~6:41, and if you map out which area has that sunrise time on that date, this is what you get:

6xP5ZIj.jpg

Orange lines are the boundaries of the possible sunrise area, the red lines are the border of West Virginia, and the green area is the Capital Wasteland map from FO3.

We also have heard a leak that the map will be centered around a highway, and I81 runs right down the center of this area. The song playing in the trailer also refers to West Virginia, the Shenandoah river and the Blue Ridge mountains, all of which are in this area. Vault 76 is listed in FO3 as being part of the DC area, and Jefferson County, WV is considered part of the larger DC area.

My prediction is that the vault will be under Inwood Quarry, right off I81. The town of Inwood would be very similar to Concord as a small starting area, and just to the SW is Bunker Hill, which has a ton of history and would be perfect as a small point of interest in the starting corner of the map.

To the west is the Sleepy Creek Wildlife area which would be great for more of a wilderness setting. To the east is Charles Town (includes a race track/casino, a hospital, another quarry and Jefferson County museum). A bit further is Harper's Ferry which is a historic site right on the Shenandoah river, with Antietam just up the river as well.

Following I81 northeast from Inwood/Bunker Hill brings you to Eastern West Virginia airport and Martinsburg which would be the first real city. Martinsburg could be the "big" city on the map, or they could continue on to Hagerstown for an even bigger city depending on how big the map is going to be.

I could see the map looking something like this:

Another option for Vault 76 would be Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center which is an actual bunker for the President close to DC, and is right in the mountains and next to the Shenandoah river, but there just really isn't anything around there. The map is pretty empty until you get close to DC.

Pretty much everyone I think except those who are just getting into these games. It wasn't that damn complex anyways. But every game it seems has to do it. Sucks, but is what it is I guess

Another thing that I think should be said. Skyrim felt bigger than each Fallout game. Why? Because of the verticality from the landscape. Now that's not to suggest that anything the Appalachians is going to come close to the Throat of the World, but it should help make the game feel even bigger.

I really hope not. Navigating Far Harbor was sort of a nightmare.
