If that's the case, then maybe its a little easier to be the green dot dude ? 

Martinez played 93 % of the defensive snaps in 2017, second only to HaHa 

Packers have to have another guy in case he "breaks a chinstrap" and because there might be some packages where you don't have him on the field

Yes, they have alternative ways of calling in a play besides the headset, but you still would much rather be using those ways 70 times a season than 350 times a season

Going with the Claymaker.  He is the most important guy in the D coming into the season.  We'll need him healthy and active.  All the other guys are important as well however we have decent depth at all the other positions.  So that's my reasoning.  Perry would have been a close second.  Not sure who the better pass rusher is.
