Should Buck Showalter leave the Orioles and manage a win-now team?

One of the baseball managers that I always feel bad for is Buck Showalter, the manager of the Baltimore Orioles.

He was a manager with the New York Yankees in the beginning of the 90s dynasty before being fired in 1995 after their American League Division Series loss. Then, in 1999, the Arizona Diamondbacks have a good season, but lose the NL Division Series to the New York Mets.

He has taken the Baltimore Orioles to the postseason in 2012, 2014, and 2016, but never won a championship with the Orioles.

The 2018 Orioles have a bad record. Should Showalter leave the Orioles and manage a win-now team that could give him a championship to enhance his legacy?

I think if you're willing to entertain the original question, the better question is how many "win-now" teams would be willing to dispose of their current manager in favor of Showalter. I would wager two, at most: Atlanta and Milwaukee.

Zero percent chance we'd hire Showalter over Counsell.

Snitker isnt getting fired after the season they are having so far, and Id venture to say that if he were let go, we would promote Ron Washington.
