Slateman
Jon Heyman@JonHeyman Nats have talked to the Reds. Matt Harvey and Raisel Iglesias are of interest to nats, who are seeking another starter. Multiple teams see Iglesias as possible starter. Is this where the Nats go full retard?

Eh, if they think Harvey has shown his last couple outings is real they could be going for him as a starter, and Iglesias to make their bullpen lights out. Iglesias' shoulder won't hold up as a starter, but he can be a multiple inning reliever if needed. Harvey is just a rental so no long term commitment with his health risks, and Iglesias is controllable for 3 years after this year. As a Reds fan I would want Carter Kieboom as the centerpiece Maybe something like Nationals get: Raisel Iglesias and Matt Harvey Reds get: Carter Kieboom, Luis Garcia, Wil Crowe, and Nick Raquet
Slateman
Carter Keiboom is more than I'm willing to give up for Iglasias. Particularly given Rizzo 's ability to pick up bullpen pieces. You better be damned certain that he can become a good starting pitcher before trading away our future shortstop/second baseman

LOL Won't be a deal then. Alvarez isn't really a fit. Reds control Iglesias through 2021, keeping him is a viable option.
Texansfan713
Astros didnt trade either for Verlander nor Gerrit Cole. No way they trade one of them for a reliever.

Yeah, there's not a chance in hell that Luhnow trades Whitley/Tucker after holding onto them for this long already. Especially for Iglesias. Iglesias could 100% be had in a deal with Alvarez as the headliner. Very, very easily. Well, prospect quality wise, maybe not fit wise. It definitely wouldn't take Whitley/Tucker. To think we only got him for Josh Fields.
Eagles27
Yeah, not seeing Whitley/Tucker as a realistic ask for a reliever. 2 top 5, maybe 3 top 10 prospects from their system could get it done IMO.

I would do Yordan Alvarez, Corbin Martin and Hector Perez for him. Thats a good package.
