Trade Kuzma/Ball/Deng/Future First for Kawhi. Trade Randle for Nerlens Noel.

Lebron

PG3

Kawhi

Ingram

Noel

6th-Hart

Best thing that could happen to NBA. Warriors vs Lakers in WCF then presumably Lakers vs Celtics in Finals. Boom.

Switch Kuzma and Ingram and this would be lovely.

Bill Plaschke said that according to Wjo Leonard wants out and the Lakers are where he wants to go.  Plaschke said that the Lakers need to trade for Leonard now and that would entice LeBron and George to go to LA with him.

Plaschke said that Kuzma, Randle and maybe a 1st rounder would be enough for Leonard.

First off, if the Lakers acquire Kawhi you can already write in LeBron and PG13.  There's already enough smoke with those two signing with the Lakers, add in Kawhi and there's no reason for either to stay with their respective teams.  In terms of team success, that trio far outdoes the current Thunder trio.

As for the deal, it's not possible.  Since Julius Randle is a FA, it'd have to be part of a S&T and as soon as they acquire Kawhi they don't have enough max cap space to sign PG13 and LeBron to max contracts.  They'd have to deal Deng in order to do so.

The Lakers aren't getting any elite player without sending Kyle Kuzma as part of their package. I don't understand why their fans don't seem to realize this. He's the only really redeeming player they have to move if you're giving them a top 10 player. You don't get to keep your best young player AND acquire a prime superstar when you have nothing else of value on your roster.

Kuzma isn't their best young player.

So lets say PG ends up re-signing with OKC and Leonard gets traded to Boston, what does LeBron do then? Does he re-up with the Cavs? Or better yet does that force his hand to go to Philly? Windhorst kept bringing up Philly on the podcast and they may have a better shot than folks think. If Kawhi some how gets moved to the Lakers, then I think LeBron's decision becomes easy. If not, Philly or re-signing with the Cavs may be what he ends up doing.

Any chance he just re-sign a two year deal with an opt out option for year two and hits the market next year?

LA for the 4-year max regardless of whatever else they can add or a 1+1 with Philly b/c you can’t trust Embiid’s health long term.  Leonard will still hit the market next year and wants to be in LA.  Worse case they can’t sign anybody and they hope Ingram is a star by then.
