The NFL has seen a lot of turnover among its referees this offseason, with Jeff Triplette, Ed Hochuli and Terry McAulay also retiring. Last year the NFL retained all 17 of its referees from the year before, but this year there will be a major change in the refereeing ranks.

He seemed like one of the better refs in the league. Him, McAulay, and Hochuli in just one offseason could be a big blow for the NFL referees. Losing Triplette will be a positive for the league though - he was pretty bad.

Should be interesting to see the quality of reffing next season. We're getting at least 4 new ones.

Tripplette and McAulay? That's the textbook definition of the daily double. The NFL officiating just got better. Addition by subtraction when you lose incompetence and arrogance.

Careful what you wish for. No evidence the guys coming in are going to be any better
