NVRamsFan
Not sure it's the best idea to trade him after moving EJ.
holt_bruce81
Tru to the Steelers for a 2nd?
DistantRam
It would take an exceptionally generous offer for us to trade away Tru, I would think, given that we have little or no depth at the CB position at the moment.
RamsFan24
I would hope we wouldn't because Tru is are only veteran corner with above average starting ability. Also with how thin are depth is, I dont think that this would be wise, even with a 2nd it wouldn't be wise because of our depth at that position. BEASToftheEAST4
Where was all of this interest when we were actually shopping him prior to the draft? At this point, I'd advise against trading him. With EJ gone, we'd be a pretty thin CB core pretty quick without Tru. At this point in time, he's too valuable to the team unless someone really blew us away with an offer (1st round or higher). IMO, a 2nd rounder isn't worth it right now

IMO, a 2nd rounder isn't worth it right now I dont think that moving EJ really has any impact on the approach with Tru. Gaines was one of the worst corners in the league last year. Most are still being nostalgic with him being a former local kid from the STL days, or hoping he could recapture the couple week stretch as a rookie. He just isnt that guy anymore. I think much more highly of Kayvon Webster than most do, I think he is perfect for Wade's defense. NRC is a really nice 3rd CB, and remember that we will basically have an extra CB on the field at all time with Joyner at Safety and Barron at ILB. Now having said all of that, I think moving Tru would still be a bad idea right now. He isnt the perfect fit for Wade's D. but he is good enough that he fits in any scheme. And we dont have a 3rd starting caliber CB that would make it OK to move him.

This is my point exactly regardless of my opinion of Gaines (which is very similar to yours of him). We don't have the depth to where we could afford losing Tru right, whether he's a great fit in Wade's scheme or not. He's still our most talented DB at the moment. jrry32
Unless we have a plan to get another starting caliber CB, it doesn't make sense to trade him.
