2015 Broncos vs 2010 Packers

Recommended Posts

Takes place on neutral field. The teams at the point they were in the Super Bowl. One week of prep for each.

Who wins?

I think Denver feasts on a one dimensional offensive attack in what amounts to a low scoring game.

I think A-rod does just enough for GB to win.. packers also have a elite defense that could force manning into several mistakes

Broncos by 14.

EDIT: No wait, this was Peyton when he'd fallen off. Packers.

2010 Packers defense was incredible.  They gave up 15 points per game.  Low scoring game with a late FG to win for the Packers in this one.

Would have been a hell of a defensive battle. If I recall correctly, Pittsburgh had the 1 or 2 best defense in the league and Rodgers did his thing. How much more would have the all time great Broncos D held him back? Would Manning be able to move the ball at all on the Packers defense? Close, low scoring game. Hard to pick a winner. Rodgers has struggled against elite of the elite defenses.

Packers, although they don't have the all time great defense of the Broncos there defense was elite that year. Followed up with a great offense they are just the more balanced team.

Historic D's usually win the big games.   Car's D was a top 3-4 D that year in SB50, and that was cited over & over how CAR's elite D was better vs. Peyton-corpse & O vs. DEN's historic D vs. what was considered a juggernaut, unstoppable CAR O that had decimated everyone in its path.

It would be a great matchup, though, either way.    Can't argue those that think A-Rod would be better than Cam was to tip the scales.   But every time we think a QB will overcome the historically, potential GOAT type D - the D usually wins.

Packers. They were able to do whatever they wanted to the #1 D in the NFL in the Super Bowl. They would've won by 20 if Shields/Woodson didn't get knocked out of the game and 30 if they didn't drop so many passes.
