BayRaider
Since we have two new leagues coming up, I think having another section would be beneficial to the forum. I don't think the XFL or AAF deserve their own section but both combined into a "Professional Football" or "Other Football" section would be warranted. Maybe we don't need it now but the AAF starts in February I think, so at least by October or November this section should be created. Thoughts? Thoughts? I don't disagree, but I think we can have and AAFL or XFL threads in NFL General for now. The last few leagues didn't even make it past a season, so let's check for league viability before we cross that bridge.
Forge
Yeah, this strikes me as something to be monitored and possibly eventually implemented, but not at the current point in time.

Historically speaking, every non-Football forum has started because general sports threads created enough discussion. In the last year, Webby added the soccer forum. Just for comparison, the Soccer forum has 11k in posts. The NHL General thread has 1300 posts. There's a reason why we don't have a hockey forum. If the activity level is there, the forum will adjust accordingly.

UtahUtesFan
Any chance of this happening soon with the AAF starting in a month and the XFL announcements, along with the other possible football leagues that have been announced (Freedom Football League & Pacific Pro Football, both affiliated with big NFL names). bucsfan333
I would guess there will be threads in the Other Sports subforum at first. If activity dictates it, there will be a new subforum created for them.
