If the NFL moved to 18 games, how would you like the extra two games to be determined?

1 game vs. your top divisional rival and 1 game vs. the team that finished next to you in the league standings in the previous year.

They’d have to be against teams from the other conference- ideally, two of the three teams in the same finishing position in divisions which aren’t your scheduled one. 

How you’d decide which two of the three, I’m not sure. 

Let’s make it a 19-game regular season.

Hmmmmm interesting.  So you're saying instead of the 4 games against the 2nd intraconference division opponents, you would keep the 2 games against the common placement opponents and add 2 more games against common placement opponents?  That would be similar to the way the NFL scheduled it circa 1995 when opponents that were last place the year before played each other twice a year
