The woman already amended her original story to say that McCoy's "people" did that to her. someone on reddit pointed out that she said the 'people' bit before mccoy's statement

He has that sort of ego and vibe. Innocent until proven guilty though. That's why his nickname is "Shady" McCoy He's had that since before college

aussie_eagle
If it's true he should be jailed. If she's made it up she should be jailed. Either way someone should be jailed for this.

Let's be honest, when has being found guilty been a prerequisite for the NFL to suspend someone, or even for the accusations to be shown to have an overwhelmingly high chance of being completely made up to hurt someone's career just to disregard the findings and suspend them anyways. That being said, if he was connected with this in any way, he will deserve every punishment he gets. If he wasn't involved, then the person that posted the accusations that he was involved/the cause should be held accountable. She needed to just give this information to the police and let it play out with them first.

So if LeSean and this individual are connected then I'm sure he had permission to be in the house so there is no break in charges and the only charges would go to the guy for assault... Seems like McCoy told a friend to go to his house and pick up some things and the ex didn't want to give the stuff up and then the altercation took place. If that is the case then McCoy didn't do anything wrong. And both the ex gf and this guy should be charged. One for assault and the other for stolen property. That's not how the law works. In a tenant-occupied property, the landlord cannot enter that property without prior notice to the tenant (except in certain emergencies). And a landlord cannot give any third-party consent to enter tenant-occupied property (again, other than in certain emergencies). If the suspect entered this woman's house without her consent, even if he used a key provided by McCoy, as owner of the property, that's still a "break in." That explains why law enforcement have described these events as a 'home invasion" even, per reports, without evidence of forceful entry. That doesn't mean the suspect, if identified and arrested, will ultimately be charged with "burglary" or whatever statute in Georgia applies to "home invasions." That will be up to the prosecutors. But Shady's "consent" for a third-party to enter his rented property (even if that property is subject to contemporaneous eviction proceedings) will not insulate either the suspect from criminal liability for burglary, nor Shady from a potential conspiracy charge if he was part of the planning of these events.
