What if NBA players came to NFL?

Crazy question/hypo during dead time:

God bans NBA/basketball tomorrow and supernaturally motivates all players to attempt to make an NFL team  and play as long as they are able.  NFL declares a draft to be held immediately in reverse order of 2017 record.

What does that draft look like?  What position are you drafting them for?

I haven't followed NBA for years so I am a poor judge currently, but I can imagine a number of players would be highly coveted for their athletic ability and skill set.  Some would be fascinating physically, but wouldn't have mentality or toughness or would be too tall to gain leverage I think.

I mean there probably has never been a corner or safety as fast, quick and coordinated as Allen Iverson.  Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss are amongst few dudes who compare to what a Jordan, James or Bryant would be like at WR and as great as athletes as they were the NBA legends are more so.  Who knows how they handle making a catch and getting drilled though.

Karl Malone, Shaq and Wilt Chamberlin were big dudes who could move at maturity, not just skinny guys who would get hurt like they were in college.

I don't see any NBA players able to withstand the physical punishment brought on by the game of football except LeBron and that's because he's built like a tank.  Tall bodies with less mass spread across the body are meant for putting the ball in a tall basket that most normal people can't reach, not throwing themselves head on into a collision.  This topic is kind of a joke tbh

I could be wrong...

Kristaps Porzingis - TE
Draymond Green - LB
Charles Barkley - FB
 Russel Westbrook - HB
Kevin Durant - WR
Steph Curry - DB
Lebron - WR
Kawhi Leonard - DB
Tony Parker - RB/WR
Kobe Bryant - QB
Blake Griffin - DE
Tony Allen - FS

There aren't many superstars that would make it. First of all, they're all too tall or too skinny...in a lot of cases, both. Even Draymond Green was terrible at football at MSU. I'd love to see Kevin Durant's scrawny behind trying to work the middle of the field. Death would ensue.

LeBron James could play WR/TE/S. Westbrook could play WR/S/CB. Aside from that, I have a hard time coming up with dudes that could play in the NFL without having a few years to train for it.

Durant's career would likely be over after 1 game. Dude is skin and bone, couldn't do a single bench rep.

Some of the athletic freaks (Blake Griffen, LeBron James) would be able to convert to football, they have the mass to withstand hits. Some of the smaller athletic guys (Russell Westbrook) could probably find a spot.

But the majority of the players would be too tall to utilize proper leverage or unable to withstand hits over time.

If you look at how skinny the legs of 99% of the NBA players are, you'd realize how different the game is. I remember seeing Draymond Green in football pants and chuckling at how small he looked compared to other college players.

Basketball players don't have any lower body mass, which is a damn near requirement to be a good NFL player.

Iverson wouldn't make it through one "practice, we're talking about practice

Ironically (or not), that same Allen Iverson was a 4 Star recruit at QB in Virginia and was both Mr. Basketball and Mr. Football his senior year in High School for the state of Virginia. He had scholarship offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame among other schools. Michael Vick said something like he was Michael Vick before Vick was a thing, he was very respected as a football player...

Iverson was absolutely electric on the football field with the ball in his hands.

He was Vick, 10 years before Vick hit the scene for Virginia Tech. Would have been interesting to see what he would have been if he chose football.

I could see him continuing to play QB in D1 and have a Tony Rice type impact. Any shot at the next level was doubtful bcuz of his size and frame. But man he could’ve been a Devin Hester-like return specialist.
