I was gonna knock this thread but there’s really nothing else to talk about right now.

I called Malcolm Mitchell an average WR on Twitter and Pats fans absolutely pounced at me ?. One guy (who I know does not represent most Pats fans) said that Mitchell would be the #1 WR on the Redskins haha.

I think Mitchell would be their No. 2 quite easily if he ever plays again. I think he's absolutely better than Paul Richardson. He's average now but he could become something if his career isn't over.

what makes him better than richardson? ive spent my whole life in georgia/south carolina, and am kinda a fan of uga, so im rooting for mitchell. But theres a chance richardson can become a more well rounded wr. Theres pretty much no shot mitchell will ever become a good deep threat.

I think Mitchell is a better route-runner and has some of the strongest hands of any non-Pro Bowl receiver (also has 97th percentile hand size; Richardson is percentile 13). He's been able to develop trust with Tom Brady and is better at fighting for the ball. To me, Richardson is a deep threat specialist and slot receiver whereas Mitchell has No. 1 potential because of his consistency. In his first season, he was able to get open a lot and make some great plays on his touches. He might never be a deep threat, but I still think he's a better overall wide receiver. Mitchell is a bit slower, at 4.45 in the 40 to Richardson's 4.4, but both have similar profiles by the broad and vertical jump (average around 75th percentile each).

Also, I'd rather have Mitchell because he's under contract for 2 years, about $1M to Richardson's 5-year, $40M deal.

if you have to mention a specufic qb, you kinda are already wrong. contract is irrelevant and please provide 10 examples of each guy "fighting for the ball". if youre gonna critoque it i have to assume you have multiple examples at the ready.

What?

what was confusing? you said mitchell was better and then used his chemistry with brady as a reason. even if thats the case (not really provable), its irrelevant to whose better. your whole argument for him has been crap tbh.
