Ozzy's NFL Draft Prospect thread - (Weekly Prospect Standouts)

Going to pool all my thoughts mainly in this thread along with Weekly prospect standouts if I can.  Most is regardless of class and are the current prospect in college football.  Posted this list early in the summer, top 250+ players in the up coming draft in 2018 I feel as of now, tons will indeed change in time.  I divide it by round with compensatory picks and ended up with rounds 1-7 hypothetically.

Some players with a lot to prove this up coming season I feel based on production or coming off a major injury. Also included are some prospects with a lot of talent and have been waiting in the wings for their chance.

*Peter Kalambayi Stanford OLB RS SR:
Really like how he can set the edge as a 3/4 OLB, if he can just flash a little more as a pass rusher he could become a very interesting prospect. With his ability to hold the point of attack could possibly be a 4/3 DE but ideally he would be a 3/4 OLB. Has been a solid player for awhile but never really took it to that next level as of yet and last year was a down year for him. Needs to come back to form as a pass rusher and he could become a 2nd or at best a 1st round pick.

*Jackson Dillon Memphis OLB SR:
Missed all of last season with an injury, is a little bit of a long short but has great size and length at linebacker. Has to get stronger and prove he can consistently get after the passer and become a potential 3/4 OLB. Again is a long shot but hopefully he can put it all together as a senior.

*Robert Foster Alabama WR SR:
This is the time for him, has really showed flashes of speed and great production in a few spring games, never done it really during the season however. Diggs is moved over to corner and should be a star, will see if he stays there, Stewart and Howard are gone as targets. Only other proven target is Ridley so Foster has to show up as the 2nd and at worst 3rd WR on the roster. Same can really be said for his teammate Cam Sims as well having to prove what he can do. Foster is a smooth athlete with very good speed, just has to stay healthy and show what he can do.

*Ogbonnia Okoronkwo Oklahoma LB SR:
Very impressive pass rushing linebacker, quick and has some power to his game despite not being a huge guy. Not a great history of those small athletic outside backers for OU, Striker for one. Sure Striker dominated at times in college but at that small size never was able to bring that to the next level. Okoronkwo is bigger than he was and is more of a thick solid athlete. Potentially could be a nice 4/3 OLB and with his pass rush skills it makes him a very interesting 3/4 OLB. Will see how he does this year, with good play he could be a 2nd or 3rd round pick but will see.

*Corbin Kaufusi BYU RS JR:
Really curious to see how he plays this season. Was a fan of his brothers when he played a little while ago and last year Corbin got a taste of the action. I expect him to be much better this season and with that massive length be a game changer as a potential 3/4 OLB or DE. Very interesting prospect for sure and possible round 2 or 3 guy if he plays up to his potential this season.

*Charles Nelson Oregon CB/WR SR:
Very disappointed in his play last year, really wish he stayed on defense and did not move over to the offensive side of the ball. Kid is a possible ball hawk corner with very good speed and coverage ability. Skills in the return game and overall is a fine athlete. Hopefully they let him go both ways this year because at best I think he would be a corner ideally at the next level not a wide receiver.

*Oren Burks Vandy LB SR:
Made the move to linebacker last year from more of a safety before. Be interesting how he does, athletic player and if he commits to the position could have a similar impact potentially that Zach Cunningham did last year. Needs to show he has range and speed at linebacker along with being able to be physical at the point of attack. If he does that he could really improve his draft stock.

*Lowell Lotulelei Utah DT SR:
Has a big name to live up to with his older brother, has been kind of a disappointment however because of that. Expected more of an impact this past season from him. Will see what he does this year as a senior, has 1st round potential just is a matter of does he play that way or not.

*KJ Malone LSU OG SR:
Showed some small flashes last year in the run game that were impressive. Still not totally sure if he is completely committed to football, almost left to become a US Marshal so will see what happens. Love his athletic bloodline with his father, and is a solid player potentially at guard I think. Will see how he plays as a senior with a very talented offense coming back and a new coordinator.

*Ryan Burns Stanford RS SR:
Big tall pocket passer, looked good early last year at times. Have to love his size for the position but really has to take some big steps this year to make more of an impact. Needs to quicken up his release as well as his decision making overall.

*James Hearns Louisville DE RS SR:
Very interested to see how he does this year, athletic pass rusher that can get after it and is a solid 3/4 OLB prospect. Will have less talent around him and have to carry more of the load this year, will see how he does with that. Needs to work on his strength at the point of attack and holding the edge however. Needs to make more of an impact outside of just getting to the QB, if he does he could greatly increase his stock.

*Iman Marshall USC JR CB:
Very skilled corner and will see how he does this year as the man back there. Arguably if he plays up to his potential could be one of the top corners in the up coming draft. Very solid man cover corner with good technique. Needs to make more of a splash and be more consistent however, has the talent just has to live up to it.

*Ethan Wolf Tennessee TE SR:
Has the size one is looking for but has never really become a dominating TE and has not put up the numbers he probably should. I like that he does have the ability to block some what but he does have to show he can improve as a pass catcher and make plays as well.

*Anfernee Jennings Alabama RS JR:
Will see how he does this year as a potential starter. Flashed a little last season and in the spring games, like his thickness and strength as a 3/4 OLB. Has good power and quickness combination. Needs to show he can be a sideline to sideline player consistently especially in terms of open field tackles. Will see how he does this season after long waiting his turn.

*Tyrone Wheatley Michigan TE RS JR:
Has done very little on Michigan and is at a big risk of being out played at TE or HB by Asiasi, Hill,Gentry or Bunting if not another up and coming TE on Michigan. Big thick kid but has to start making an impact as a pass catcher and being more productive, physically he is extremely impressive but at this point they are just numbers till he puts some good tape up in a game.

*Kyle Allen Houston QB JR:
Kid has star arm talent, not sure why he went to Houston however but he did. Will see how he does this year, should put up massive numbers but that did not exactly help Greg Ward out any. Showed real big time ability on A&M a few times but did not stay consistent. If he can stay consistent throughout the year talent wise he is a 2nd or 3rd round talent for sure.

*Cody Poock Minnesota LB RS SR:
Had a disappointing season last year after a great sophomore season, was injured a lot as a junior on and off. Is a good solid tackler and has good instincts for the position just has to round back into form. Be curious how he does after a major defensive change with a different coaching staff.

*Ja'Whaun Bentley Purdue LB SR:
Was very productive as a young player, really active as a linebacker with a good strong build. This past year looked all out of shape and over weight not to mention getting injured as well. Needs to be better conditioned and become that impact tackling linebacker he was early in his career.

*Christian Miller Alabama RS JR:
Like his pass rush potential as a 3/4 OLB, long and lean able to bend the edge. Like his teammate Jennings has waiting his turn for some time now. Will see how he does as a starter. Is athletic enough to be a factor rushing the passer as well as being active in the run game. Will have to produce because they lost a ton off that defense from last season.

*Austin Proehl UNC WR SR:
Is poised for a big season at UNC, productive pass catcher with a fine bloodline. Good solid route runner and has very good hands of course. Should have a real breakout season in terms of production, they lost a ton of pass catching talent off that roster yet still have a productive system in place. Could develop into a late round prospect possibly with a big year.

*Aaron Cochran Ok State OT SR:
The guy is a mountain of a man, be very interesting how he does as a grad transfer at Oklahoma State. Needs to show up as a pass protector and be able to consistently handle speed rushers. Has had injury issues as well that he needs to get past, also should show more power in the run game at his size.

*Nate Andrews Florida State S/LB SR:
As a linebacker or a safety he needs to show up and stay healthy this up coming season. Good tackler but needs to be on the field and show what he can do, especially in pass coverage which is still a huge question mark. Will be a risk of being another Tony Conner, flashing a lot as a freshman then playing more of a hybrid linebacker role and never really improving off that early success.

*Kendall Sheffield Ohio State CB SOPH:
Should compete for a starting job there for sure, very talented corner with a ton of ability. Surprised he left Alabama but is going to a good program of course that coaches defensive backs well. Very smooth athlete and would be surprised if he does not impress this season.

*Torrance Gibson Cincinnati QB/WR SOPH:
Curious how he will do, thought he would going to be a star WR on Ohio State last season but then the suspension. Big time tall athlete, a little disappointed he is apparently going to be playing QB at Cincinnati but still will be interesting how he runs the ball from that position. Still would be surprised to see him as a QB prospect for the NFL but will see, most likely position switch back to WR.

*Durham Smythe Notre Dame TE SR:
Flashed last year for Notre Dame in a few games, still has a long ways to go. Not super productive but is a good solid athlete and potentially could be a decent late round prospect at TE if he continues to improve. Showed up as a blocker as well which increases his stock if he continues to improve on that part of his game.

A few juniors that I currently do not have leaving early for the draft who could with fine seasons. If they indeed take that next step this year, could also be early entry candidates for the 2018 Draft.

*James Daniels Iowa C JR:
I think he is an outstanding player, very good solid center that could arguably come out early this year if he plays up to his potential. Great blocking down field for a center in a few games and getting to the second level. Overall is a solid athlete that is strong and has a good solid base, nice looking prospect potentially.

*Ryan Nall Oregon State RB JR:
Had an outstanding year last season, really showed up in a lot of games, displaying a surprising amount of speed for a back his size. I like how he catches the ball out of the backfield as well. If he continues on last years pace again this season he will sure declare early for the draft, will see if he can keep it up.

*Juwan Johnson Penn State WR RS SOPH:
Has a chance to really blow up this year, is just a massive kid very strong at WR. If he turns that athletic ability into production would not be surprised if he came out early. Has a ton of potential that is for sure, kid is just huge physically.

*Zach Wallace Wyoming OT JR:
Awesome pass protector at tackle, very athletic on his feet and can move. Nice technique as well, if he gets a little stronger overall could be a candidate to come out early.

*Ryan Izzo Florida State TE JR:
As a pass catcher he has a ton of potential and with a great year could easily come out early for the draft. Very good hands, nice route runner as well, if he displays a little more down field playmaking and improves on his overall athletic ability he is a very sound prospect.

*Byron Pringle Kansas State WR JR:
Big time playmaker that really stood out last year I thought. Great open field speed and can get great separation, really impressive big play potential despite not having outstanding QB play. Should be even better this year and could be a early entry candidate possibly.

*Jon Dietzen Wisconsin OG RS SOPH:
Tough physical blocker, got a lot of nice push last year and should be even better this season. Very solid in the run game, needs some work in pass protection but is a solid overall prospect with good upside.

*Johnny Dwight Alabama DE RS SOPH:
Physically the kid is a very interesting athlete as a potential a 3/4 DE. Has yet to do anything really in the season but this year should be his chance. Nice lower body power and can get under the offensive tackle and control him with his athletic ability. Will see if he can live up to his potential and show more this year.

*Rashaan Gaulden Tennessee CB JR:
Nice smooth athlete, long corner that is wiry. Needs to improve on his tackling and toughness but in coverage is very smooth and has fine ball skills.

*Geron Christian Louisville OT JR:
Really thick kid with a big strong base, kind of tailed off at the end of this season but has a lot of potential I feel as a tackle or guard. Gets a nice push and can handle himself in pass protection, with a good season would not be surprised to see him come out early.

*Deebo Samuel South Carolina WR JR:
Made a really jump from his FR to SOPH year, now will see if he can take that next step as a junior. Tough WR that has very good hands, needs to show some more down the field speed I think but has nice potential as a physical WR who can make contested catches.

*TJ Rahming Duke WR JR:
Very good open field speed and is very hard to handle in the open field. Can make you miss and get by defenders very quickly. Really like his upside, very similar to past Duke product Crowder at WR. Has a lot of ability and should have a great year.

*Isaiah Saunders Idaho RB JR:
Love how low to the ground he is built, really powerful back that can really drive with his legs. Very thick and strong lower body, if he improves his conditioning he could become a solid NFL prospect.

*Devine Ozigbo Nebraska RB JR:
Another very powerful back with really strong legs. Thick kid and it he can stay healthy should put up some good numbers this season. Nice feet and upside I feel considering his physical ability, could have a really good year for them.

*Chris Warren Texas RB JR:
Will be very interesting how he does, big back and should get a lot more touches. Coming off injury and is the son of fine NFL running back Chris Warren. Is a really good athlete as well, see if he can put up numbers close to Foreman's behind a good offensive line.

*Will Grier West Virginia QB RS SOPH:
Showed a lot of upside and potential on Florida, good poise and leadership for a young quarterback. Has a little bit of an odd ball placement before he releases but overall seemed to be a solid prospect. Is arguably one of the best QBs at West Virginia now in a very long time, in that offense should be really successful.

*Jerrod Heard Texas WR RS JR:
Made the switch to WR last year and I expect more out of him this year with time to practice the position. Is a big time athlete and showed that as a freshman, really good open field speed and quicks. Expect him to have a much improve season this year for the Longhorns.

Thoughts some Spring ball....

After watching a few Spring Games here are some prospect that stood out as young talent. Also included are players who were improved off last season, poised to have a breakout year this season. I know Spring games do not mean that much but nice to have a early look at talent levels around the country. See if some of these players can bring that same production into the season.

 50x50c_mmk.png
*Rashan Gary Michigan DE SOPH:
What a monster game he had, love how he played at the DE spot. Showed flashes last year of course but did not see tons of action or production. This year he is going to be a freak show and really blow up on the edge I feel. Great game by him, really improved his activity level and conditioning.

*Keith Washington Michigan CB RS JR:
Really stood out I felt, made a ton of aggressive tackles and tough physical plays at corner. They lost a lot of talent at that position obviously but Washington should step right in and do quite well, really like his physical style of play, very promising prospect overall.

*Benjamin St-Juste Michigan S FR:
Really impressed with him athletically, can move around very well and is a nice smooth athlete. Good ball skills and fine coverage man for a young player, will see if he can continue that into the season.

*Greg Robinson Michigan OT FR:
Very impressed with his play, really like how strong he is and he is a physical player. Thick kid, good length and power, could be a very interesting prospect for them and possibly even see a lot of early action this season.

*Devin Bush Michigan ILB SOPH:
Could have a real breakout year, flashed last spring game just never got on the field in the season much. Very athletic playmaking linebacker with a ton of speed, will see if he can put it together during the season.

*Nick Eubanks Michigan TE RS SOPH:
Another one, very lean and tall tight end with long arms and big hands. Is more of a slot WR possibly but still as a pass catcher with that size he is a very interesting player. Could become a matchup problem for sure at TE, will see how much time he gets at the position however.

*Carlo Kemp Michigan DE SOPH:
Showed some nice activity on the edge, athletic player who can hold the point of attack and is a stocky strong athlete. Should he a much improved season this year and become a possible impact player for them on defense

*Noah Furbush Michigan OLB RS JR:
Really like his activity level at linebacker, love his length and size, ability to come off the edge and hold the point of attack. Be interesting how he does this year, should get a ton of playing time potentially, nice looking aggressive athlete at linebacker.

*Sean McKeon Michigan TE SOPH:
Where they get these guys from, another long and athletic pass catching TE. Really needs to improve his overall strength and toughness but is a fine athlete and can make plays down field for sure catching the football.

*Mason Cole Michigan OT/C SR:
Really like seeing him back at tackle, hopefully he stays there but I doubt it. Like his ability to seal the edge as well as his athletic ability for the position. I think his upside is higher at tackle but either way is a very interesting prospect for the up coming draft.

*Brandon Peters Michigan QB SOPH:
They are set for when Speight is gone, very mechanically sound QB with great size and a decent amount of athletic ability. Can get out and move the pocket to make throws and has nice accurate arm. Solid prospect potentially down the road for sure.

*Reuben Jones Michigan LB RS JR:
Has a long ways to go but got to love that athletic ability and size. Quick off the edge and will be interesting to see how he does this year, has a ton of upside and potential I feel.

*Michael Onwenu Michigan OG SOPH:
Guy is a massive big wide body, still has a lot to work on but physically he could be a real mover down there at guard. Wish he was a little longer overall but interesting prospect as a inside guard potentially.

*Jon Runyan Michigan OT RS SOPH:
Showed some nice power and decent upside for a tackle. Too bad he got hurt in the game, will be interesting to see how it shakes out for him with some other tackles injured he might see a lot more time, could also play guard arguably.

 BAMA.png
*Tua Tagovailoa Alabama QB FR:
Will be very interesting to see his development, hard to believe but is right there with Hurts and is arguably a more polished passer from the pocket. Very good technique and is a accurate passer with a bid wide body. Can move around and make some plays but is not such a run 1st QB like Hurts was last year.

*Najee Harris Alabama RB FR:
Freak show running back, another one, has really good feet and ability to make cuts despite being a massive back. Really big time athlete with great power, be interesting how they use him this year, with a lot of good running backs already on the roster Harris might be too good to not get in there as a 2nd or 3rd RB.

*Jerry Jeudy Alabama WR FR:
Showed nice aggressive play and good open field speed. Really nice quickness for a wide receiver and will see how much time he takes away from those more experienced players at the position. Nice looking prospect for sure.

*Terrell Hall Alabama OLB SOPH:
Love his athletic ability and length at linebacker, could really become a star this year potentially. Made that one huge play which really showed off his length and athletic ability. Has been a little while since they have had athletic edge rushers like him on the roster, be very interesting to see how he performs.

*Raekwon Davis Alabama DE SOPH:
Is a mountain of a man, what a massive player with great length. Still has a long ways to go but as a prospect he is very hard to miss, could be a fine 3/4 DE potentially, does have to improve his use of leverage and ability to collapse the pocket.

*Matt Womack Alabama OT RS SOPH:
Showed really nice feet for a big wide body tackle. Decent in pass protection, will see how much time he gets this season, could be a very interesting prospect down the road.

*Robert Foster Alabama WR RS SR:
Showed that big time speed in the open field, just burned by corners on a few plays. Hopefully he can stay healthy and actually produce this year, has a lot of talent but has to actual put up some production in big games this season. Has been a standout in more than one spring game, time to take the next step.

*Jamey Mosely Alabama OLB RS JR:
Is a good active edge rusher and got some decent plays in that game. Really like his size and gave good effort, needs to get stronger but for a long athletic linebacker he is a interesting player. Will see how he does this year along with a lot of linebackers on that team who have been waiting in the wings for awhile.

*Jalen Hurts Alabama QB SOPH:
Did hit some deep balls which was nice to see, was pretty terrible last year especially in terms of his inability to throw down field as well as all the turnovers. Has some real competition at the position for sure now with Tua. Be interesting how it all plays out, as a prospect Hurts has a very long ways to go still as a QB.

*Trevon Diggs Alabama CB SOPH:
Got absolutely burnt on three deep passing plays, but I like the idea of moving him to corner with his athletic ability. Still very new to the position and has a lot to work on, but have to love his speed and ball skills, ability to react to the football in the air. Will see how he does and if he sticks to corner, I hope he does and learns from what happened in this game.

 ohio-state_50x50.jpg
*Binjimen Victor Ohio State WR SOPH:
Really like his size and athletic ability at receiver, very impressive with his quickness and burst, combine that with his length and he could be a big time playmaker for them. Long and athletic, very interesting prospect for sure this season, looks like he is a big time athlete.

*Malcolm Pridgeon Ohio State OG JR:
Really like his length at the guard position, can get after it and crush defenders at times. Needs to still improve on a lot of things but is a interesting prospect for sure on the inside.

*Johnnie Dixon Ohio State WR JR:
Could arguably have the most make you miss of any receiver on Ohio State, really quick in the open field and fights hard for the catch and after the catch. Will see if he can stay healthy this year, if so could be a big playmaker for them.

*AJ Alexander Ohio State TE RS SOPH
Not a huge fan of his length but is a very athletic and compact tight end. Good open field speed and is a matchup problem for sure in this offense, could have a solid year potentially as a stretch TE, will see.

*Parris Campbell Ohio State WR JR:
Another standout receiver for Ohio State, has good hands and decent open field speed. Nice smooth athlete and can get open, will see which one of these three receivers will become the big man on campus for them, and Campbell is right there with them.

*Damon Webb Ohio State S SR:
Stood out at times last year, will see if he can take that next step as a safety in a position of need for them. Needs to get stronger as a tackler I feel, is decent in coverage, will see how he does.

*Tuf Borland Ohio State ILB FR:
Like his activity level at linebacker, showed some flashes of getting of blocks and getting after the ball carrier. Still has a long ways to go however as a prospect but has nice potential as a player.

*Kendall Sheffield Ohio State CB SOPH:
Did get beat a few times but when tackling was allowed in the scrimmage he made some nice hits. Really like his toughness at corner and man cover skills, will see if he can beat out some other good players and become a starter this year for them.

 LSU.png
*Devin White LSU ILB SOPH:
Is a possible star linebacker, showed a lot of flashes last year and got a ton of experience. Love his athletic ability and physical strength, but he can also run and cover a lot of ground. Should become a very good ILB prospect this year and be one of the leaders of that defense.

*Grant Delpit LSU S FR:
Very impressive freshman safety, moves very well and is a strong aggressive tackler. Has very good speed and is sound in coverage as well, not to mention has great length for the position. Could be a possible star this season at a need position for them+.

*DJ Chark LSU WR SR:
Liked him last year, should really have a monster year this season in this new offense. Very athletic player and will get the ball in his hands a lot more, especially on those jet sweeps to showcase his speed and ability after the catch. Should have a monster year for sure at LSU.

*Donte Jackson LSU CB JR:
Nice smooth corner, improved a lot last season and saw a lot of action, could take that next step to an elite level this year. Really like his feet and ball skills, very quick to react at corner and fast.

*Rashard Lawrence LSU DE SOPH:
Very big wide body on the edge, got good consistent pressure and was able to collapse the pocket more than once. Should do very well in that 3/4 system and if a nice solid prospect down the road.

*Garrett Brumfield LSU OG JR:
Looks like he improved his conditioning level compared to last year, very big body and solid run blocker. Can get out on the edge as well and shows some nice athletic ability at times for a guard. Be interesting how he does this season.

Some more spring ball thoughts....

1_4682414.png

*Derwin James Florida State S JR :
Kid looks right as rain, made some big time hits and would be a shock barring an injury he is not a top 3 pick. Great in the box, fast in coverage and is one hell of a tackler. Very versatile player with absolutely a ton of upside and potential, good to see him back to form.

*Cam Akers Florida State RB FR:
Could easily become the starter this season for Florida State, good two way back who can run inbetween the tackles but also go out and catch passes out of the backfield. Nice looking young talent for sure and they have already reloaded after losing arguably the schools best ever at the position.

*Janarious Robinson Florida State DE FR RS:
Another tall lengthy defensive end, showed a decent amount of power for a player under 260 pounds, needs to get stronger though. Will be interesting if they use him more as a stand up linebacker or put him down as a edge guy. Nice looking athlete for sure, one to watch.

*Stanford Samuels III Florida State CB FR:
Really impressive corner talent, super smooth in coverage for a young player. Really like his upside and he could be a fine prospect down the road. Really good ball skills and agility in coverage.

*Kameron House Florida State S FR RS:
Solid looking young safety, good open field tackler, wish he was a little longer but overall interesting talent. Has good speed in coverage and can cover ground for sure back there, could develop into a player.

*Brian Burns Florida State DE SOPH:
Was a super star last year, should be even better this season, is easily one of the best speed edge rushers in the entire nation. Sure he has to put on some weight but his quickness and length is absolutely elite, could be a 1st round pick if he was eligible for the draft which he is not. Big time prospect that is for sure.

*Ermon Lane Florida State S SR:
Very interesting talent, converted WR, could potentially be a sound coverage safety or corner. Will see how he does in a very talented secondary for Florida State.

*De'Vante Phillips Florida State WR JR:
Really like his athletic ability and quickness in the open field, tough receiver who can make plays and has nice footwork. Should have a real breakout year potentially this season, nice talent with good upside.

*Ryan Green Florida State RB SR RS:
Showed some flashes of really good open field speed in the game. Has potential as a big play back with that speed and this is his last time to show that. Could get in there are do some things on the field with an opportunity this year.

*Mike Arnold Florida State OG FR RS
Could potentially be a nice player for them down the road. Thick strong guard but does have to improve his game. Like how he is built that is for sure.

 STNFRD.png
*Harrison Phillips Stanford DL JR RS:
Extremely impressed with is play, really got after it and showed a ton of aggressive pass rushing skills form the inside. Very hard to handle and could potentially play DT or DE in a 3/4 as well. Really nice looking prospect and is poised to have a great season, really impressed with his play excited to see what he does this year.

*Quenton Meeks Stanford CB JR:
Physically he is super impressive, confident corner with great size and long arms. I like his tackling ability and is very comfortable in coverage. With a good season he could easily come out early for the draft, one of the best corner prospects in the country after impressing a lot last year as well.

*Eric Cotton Stanford DE SR:
Love his toughness as a potential 3/4 DE, do not find guys like this easily. Really big tall kid and plays physical tough football. Will be very interesting to see how he does this season, could surprise a lot of people, very strong at the point of attack.

*Mike Tyler Stanford OLB SR RS:
Really like his size and potential ability as a 3/4 OLB, nice pass rush skills and if he can continue to display that ability he will be a wanted player come draft time. Very interesting talent and should form a great duo with his teammate Kalambayi on the other side of that 3/4.

*Dylan Jackson Stanford DE SOPH RS:
Should be a down the road stud at the DE spot in the 3/4 defense. Shows some impressive pass rush ability for a big guy, should be part of a very impressive front seven Stanford. Was not expecting than from Stanford this year but they got some players there for sure.

*Ben Edwards Stanford S JR:
Still has a lot to improve on but flashed at times from the safety spot, big hitter with good open field speed. Like his toughness and willingness to mix it up in there, be curious if he earns a starting spot this year or not.

*Ryan Burns Stanford QB SR RS
Kind of disappointed in his play, was not with the starting unit and did struggle against lesser competition. Expected more development and growth out of him, will see how he does in the season, thought he showed flashes last year of potential. Has a few other big tall QBs to beat out though and not sure he will do that unless he improves a lot.

 CLEM.png
*Lasamuel Davis Clemson DE/LB SOPH:
Very interesting prospect as a edge rusher, very long and athletic. Not very heavy but makes up for that with his athletic ability and quickness. Actually surprising how well he held his own on the line using his length. Very interesting talent especially as a linebacker possibly in a 3/4.

*Trayvon Mullen Clemson CB SOPH:
Looks like a possible star corner for them, very long and athletic, good ball skills and speed in coverage. Should become a fine prospect this season.

*Mitch Hyatt Clemson OT JR:
Lot of talk about him, looks pretty solid for sure and natural in pass protection. Wish he would have went up against Ferrell or Wilkins more and see what he is made of, but handled his business well on the edge, see how he does in the season.

*Isaiah Simmons Clemson S SOPH:
Super long and athletic safety, big time upside for him I feel. Really like how he moves and again his length is very impressive, needs to work on his open field tackling though.

*Deon Cain Clemson WR JR:
Was not impressed with his play, needs to take it to the next level and had a few drops and did not look into the game. Needs to be way more consistent and productive since now he will be the man at receiver, will see how he does this year. See if he can live up to his potential as a prospect.

*Dexter Lawrence Clemson DT SOPH:
Freak show, knew that last year and looks to be even better this year. So hard to handle inside and super athletic for a man his size. Able to get off blocks consistently and make plays tackling the ball carrier, even chases down field to make plays away from the line. Probably a top 5 pick in 2019 potentially.

*Van Smith Clemson S JR:
Liked him a lot last year, super quick and active at safety, good in coverage and will mix in up tackling as well. Could round out to become one of the best safeties in the nation and with a good year would not be surprised to see him come out early.

*Kelly Bryant QB JR:
Was not impressed with his play, will see how he does this year but looks to be a position change potentially. Could do very well in this offense, really impressive athlete running the football that is for sure. Will see how he does this year or if he can keep the starting job. Athletically though he is worth paying attention to, see what he can do.

 OKLA.png
*Orlando Brown Oklahoma OT RS JR:
I have liked him for awhile, can just toy with defenders with his great strength and length. Improving in pass protection and can really move people when he wants to. Very interesting player and probably a top 10 pick with a good solid season. Could argue he had the talent to be a 1st round pick this last years draft as more of a project tackle to develop. After this year he should be less of a project and more of a proven talent.

*Parnell Motley Oklahoma CB SOPH:
Very smooth coverage corner which is what they need, made some really impressive plays on the football that is for sure. Will see how he does this season in potentially a starting role for them opposite Thomas.

*Neville Gallimore Oklahoma DT SOPH RS:
Super big kid, really strong at the point of attack and looks like a very interesting player. Possible NT with his strength, will see how he does this year, could be a very interesting prospect.

*Kyler Murray Oklahoma QB/WR JR:
Looked super quick and fast which is not surprise, will really dominate in that offense when he sees the field which again probably will not be this year. From the get go even on A&M he seems like a position switch guy, sure he has a quick release and has some zip on the ball. But he is such a dangerous athlete running the football, could be a Denard Robinson type talent or a receiver type, will see but will probably have to wait another year.

*Jonathan Alvarez Oklahoma C/OG SR:
Has potential to be a very good player, liked him a lot last year will see if he can put it all together this season. Hopefully he can stay on the field and be healthy, can be a really nasty blocker that plays with attitude, I think potentially might be a better guard but will see.

*Matt Romar Oklahoma DT SR RS:
Still has a lot of work to do and has to stay healthy, but like how strong he is inside. Hard to move out of there and is a stout low to the ground tackle, will see if he can put it all together this year or not.

 1_4649600.png
*Martez Ivey Florida OG JR:
Liked him a lot last season, moved out to tackle this year it looks like, be interesting how he does. Naturally I think he is best at guard but regardless he is a great run blocker and a big time athlete at the offensive line position. Really physical tough blocker, expect him to come out early for the draft this season most likely.

*Jordan Scarlett Florida RB JR:
Had a breakout year last season and should be even better this year. Really like how hard he runs, makes the correct cut most of the time, has a little wiggle to him as well. Love the toughness he runs with, should have a great season if he can stay healthy.

*Jawaan Taylor Florida OT SOPH:
Liked him a lot last year, is just a massive man that really can handle defenders and use his strength and length very well on the edge. Could be a possible star if he rounds out this season which I expect him to, very talented offensive tackle for sure.

*Jeremiah Moon Florida OLB SOPH RS:
Very athletic and active linebacker, should have a real breakout year for them this season. Surprisingly good in coverage, if he can show some more toughness and explosive ability tackling he could be a very promising prospect after this season.

*Duke Dawson Florida CB SR:
Liked him last year at safety, now he potentially is going to move to corner which is a great thing for his draft stock especially if he can handle himself there. Like his toughness and ability to cover in the slot potentially at safety as well. Interesting prospect, see if he can take it to the next level this year or not.

*Feleipe Franks Florida QB FR RS:
Will probably end up being the starting for Florida, that is my bet. Shows off a live arm, is a very big, tall and athletic kid. Has a firm release and gets good zip on the ball, be interesting to see how he does this year, has arguably a lot more potential than the other Gator quarterbacks.

 ND.png
*Mike McGlinchey Notre Dame OT SR RS:
Could argue easily this OL, especially the left side should be one of the best in the nation. McGlinchey kind of disappointed last year however, will see if he can take it to that next level this season. Had a solid game and was very firm in pass protection. Really like how well he moves as a tackle, has good feet, will see how he does this year, needs to show he can handle himself in pass protection for sure.

*Nyles Morgan Notre Dame ILB SR:
See if he can continue with his fine play from last season, needs to show more athletic ability in space and coverage down field but has potential for sure as a inside linebacker. Productive tackler and made some impressive hits behind the line of scrimmage in the game.

*Quenton Nelson OG SR:
People talk him up a lot, solid player but on this one play he got he was pulling around and completely got knocked back off his cleats in the air by a linebacker that is over 100 pounds lighter than he is. So yeah he needs to get a little more tough and strong I would say. Nice looking athlete and moves well for his size, just not sure the clear cut #1 OG talk out there, not sold on him just yet being that elite, will see how he does.

*Drue Tranquill Notre Dame S/LB SR:
Physically he is pretty damn impressive, really looks the part, has moved up to more of a linebacker role this year. Could really be a good thing for him. Love his toughness and ability to strike people, just needs to produce and stay healthy. When he is out there like last year he does a lot of good things from a tackling standpoint, physical strong kid.

 1_25410.gif
*Connor Williams Texas JR OT:
Got to love his toughness and strength at tackle. Still needs to show he can handle speed rushers and show the necessary footwork to pass protect, but in terms of being physical in the run game he is right there with just about anyone. Is easily a potential early entry candidate at tackle.

*Shane Buechele Texas SOPH QB:
Really like his pocket presence, knows when to get out of there and knows when to hang in. Has a nice touch on his passes, sure does not have some amazing arm but has enough to work with. Was very impressive as a freshman and should be even better this year, especially with a solid young receiver core they have.

*Collin Johnson Texas SOPH WR:
Could be a super star receiver for them, is a huge kid and has fine athletic ability for a man his size. Really good ball skills when the ball is in the air, needs to showcase his speed a little more but is a lot quicker than people think. Decent route running as well for a man his size, can get himself open.

*Toneil Carter Texas FR RB:
Looks the part at running back, made a lot of plays inbetween the tackles, busted a few runs and also made some nice catches as well. Looks like a good solid athlete and will compete right there with Warren for the starting job potentially.

*Reggie Hemphill-Mapps Texas WR FR RS:
Super athletic young receiver, really good change of direction ability and ability to make you miss. Could be a solid year as a deep threat potentially even in a very talented Texas receiver core.

 kentucky_50x50.jpg
*Kyle Meadows Kentucky OT SR:
Really impressed with his play, liked him last year and really was active in this game. Very quick off the ball engaging the defender and getting his hands on them. Needs to improve his pass protection at times against a speed rush but in run blocking, when he is aggressive and going downhill he is an impressive player for sure.

*George Asafo-Adjei Kentucky OG JR:
Super impressed with him athletically, played a little guard and tackle, very good athlete that can stay on the defender and is impressive blocking down field as well. Really going to be interesting watching him along side Meadows, there is a reason they are running the ball a lot better down at Kentucky.

*Josh Allen Kentucky JR OLB:
Really nice looking prospect, big tall kid and very athletic. Really interesting outside linebacker prospect for sure and one to watch. Showcases pass rush skills and really good athletic ability and quickness. Part of a very impressive linebacking core overall for Kentucky. See if Allen can take it to that elite level this season.

*Benny Snell Jr Kentucky SOPH RB:
Love his size, big strong back who is tough and quite underrated. Had a big time season last year that not many talked about, see if he can continue that success this year. Physically though he is solid and is near the top of the sophomore class already nationally at running back I would say.

*Jamar Watson Kentucky OLB RS FR:
Super impressive rushing off the edge for them, was extremely hard to handle and showed great quickness and ability to bend the edge with speed. Be curious how he does this year and how much time he sees. Promising looking young player that is for sure.

*Dorian Baker Kentucky WR SR:
Needs to put it together this season, has always been a big body receiver with a lot of potential and size. Has not really put it all together because of injuries and other issues, really like his length and hand size. Needs to reach his potential on the field with some more production.

*Chris Westry Kentucky CB JR:
Got to love his length at corner, did get beat a few times in the spring game which was disappointing. Still a nice long lengthy corner prospect with solid ball skills, just needs to work more on his tackling and anticipation while the ball is in the air. Expected more growth and improvement out of him as a sophomore, expect that for sure this year as a junior.

*Jamin Davis Kentucky OLB FR:
Another impressive young backer for Kentucky, shows really good speed and athletic ability. Can cover a lot of ground and make tough aggressive tackles. Still needs to get a lot stronger though and that should come in time potentially.

A few more thoughts on some prospects, some are draft eligible some are not. Need to seem more of a few of these prospects but some have a lot of upside and potential.

*Jessie Bates III S Wake Forest RS SOPH:
What a big time player, could argue with another fine season could be a early entry prospect and possible 1st round pick at some point either this up coming draft or next. Has awesome feet in the return game, really good athlete and his ball skills and deep coverage ability is extremely exciting. For a great coverage safety he tackle quite well, very impressive talent and one to watchout for, could be a potential super star.

*Nate Herbig OG Stanford SOPH:
Love how he gets after it as a big man, really plays low and wins the leverage game and literally drives the defender backward. Really fun to watch with the power and pancakes he makes out there. See how he does this year, should be even better and more comfortable overall. Really interesting player and is a true physical run blocker. Must watch prospect for the future, could be a really good one.

*Darius Leonard OLB South Carolina State JR RS:
Love how he plays the game, really athletic linebacker who can cover a lot of ground and brings a big time punch to the ball carrier. Long arms and is an extremely interesting prospect as a true OLB, with not many guys like him out there besides pass rush specialists. Could be a fairly high pick with a good year, is a special looking athlete.

*Matt Nelson DE Iowa JR:
Love his size inside, has ability to really breakout and become an elite prospect I feel. Great potential 3/4 DE or could even play in a 4/3 as well. Strong at the point of attack and is pretty active as a pass rusher, very interesting to watch him this year.

*Jaylen Dunlap CB Illinois RS SR:
What an aggressive tackler from the CB spot, really shows up physically and plays tough and aggressive. Has decent ball skills and deflects passes away at the last minute, does get beat at times though in pure coverage. Does not back down and that is what is most impressive about him, see how he does this year, interesting draft talent for sure with that tackling ability. Could possibly move to safety as well, really takes on blocks very well for a corner and can fight off them and make hard tackles.

*Breckyn Hager OLB Texas JR:
Pretty impressed with the effort he gives on the edge as a athletic pass rusher. Could potentially be a nice fit in a 3/4 defense, has good quickness off the snap and is pretty physical despite not having great size. With a good year he will for sure be a draft prospect down the road. Goes all out as a pass rusher and is fun to watch, see if he can keep that energy level up with more snaps being played.

*Will Hernandez OG UTEP SR:
Not sure how elite he is, plays very solid in the run game and when he can get on the defender he has no trouble controlling them. Wish he was longer though and a little more athletic overall. Is very consistent and strong inside, good prospect, will see if he can take it to the next level and become an elite player.

*Kyle Hicks RB TCU SR:
Is super smooth out there, really glides as a runner and makes it look very easy. Like most Big 12 offensive talents, hard to read them because the defense is so awful at times out there. Still as a third down back who can catch passes out of the backfield and make big plays, he is a very interesting prospect for sure. One of the top senior running backs in the nation.

*James Washington WR Ok State SR:
Has super strong hands and really knows how to get open. Has been productive for a very long time and with another great year could be a 1st round pick easy. Great big play threat down field and his ability to go up and get the football is impressive for sure. In a one on one situation, not many if any receivers in college are better than he is.

*Koron Crump OLB Arizona State SR:
Very athletic player who can really get after the quarterback. As an overall linebacker wish he was more physical in terms of tackling and getting off blocks however. But using quickness off the edge and blitzing he is very good at, possible 3/4 OLB prospect but is undersized for that, needs to gain some weight. If he can show more coverage ability and open field tackling skills he will be a very interesting prospect come draft time.

*Cody O'Connell OG Washington State SR:
Really like his length as a guard, nice looking athlete and solid in pass protection. Impressive looking athletic for his absolutely massive size. Would like to see some more power out of him but in that offense obviously that is not going to be the case with the quick passing game and lack of power down hill running. Very interesting player, will see how he performs this year, moves really well for his size.

*Justice Hill RB Ok State SOPH:
Love the quickness he has, when he gets the ball he is totally off to the races. Has a surprising amount of toughness of a very little back. Can take a hit and keep on going, be interesting if he can stay healthy and productive throughout his career. Super fast with the football and hits the hole hard with amazing speed. Surprised a lot of people last year, see how he does with more attention and expectations.

*Anthony Nelson DE Iowa SOPH:
Another fine DE prospect for Iowa, and another huge kid with a lot of upside and potential. Good pass rusher and is improving consistently, see if he can take it to the next level this season.

*Bobby Evans OT Oklahoma SOPH:
Nice looking athlete, good combination of power and athletic ability. Has a lot of potential, could develop into a very solid tackle down the road. Really like his upside though athletically, will see how he does.

*Brandon Ray OG Western Kentucky RS SR:
Tough guard, does not have ideal length but is a good athlete and can pull well, get to the second level and block down field. Is physical but lacks true power, could be a good mid to late round prospect potentially. Has been a good consistent blocker for awhile and should finish out as a senior near the top of his game.

*Mike White QB Western Kentucky RS SR:
Productive QB, will show a lot how he does without the weapons around him like he had last year. If he puts together another successful season he could find himself at the next level. Throws a good touch pass, has good size and mobility. Will see how he does this season that is for sure.

*Charles Omenihu DE Texas JR:
Love him physically, super long and athletic edge man. Has really good upside I feel and should have a breakout year this season. Can be a true 4/3 DE and poses a lot of problems with that length for sure, could develop into an elite prospect if he reaches his potential.

*Devonte Boyd WR UNLV SR
Easy to forget about him, but kid can play and has some skills. Good route runner with solid hands, decent enough speed and can get separation. Needs to improve his run after the catch ability a little bit and fight for the ball more while it is in the air. Interesting talent though and one to watch as a senior this year.

*Adam Breneman TE UMASS JR RS:
Has amazing hands as a TE, makes some really amazing catches look pretty easy. Not a fan of his size however, but as a pure pass catcher he is a problem for sure. Can really go up and get the ball and work his way open down field. See how he does this year, could easily come out early as a redshirt junior. As a HB/TE type talent pass catching he is interesting for sure.

*Will Geary DE K-State SR:
Have always really liked his toughness and grit out there as a defensive lineman. Former wrestling champ and that toughness shows. Could potentially be a interesting 3/4 DE, will see how he does this year, hopefully he can pick it up in terms of his pass rushing ability and playmaking overall.

*Mason Rudolph QB Ok State SR:
Guy gets pretty underrated I feel, has ideal height for the position, a super soft touch passing and is very accurate. Does not throw a lot of interceptions either and is safe with the football. Again hard to tell with the defenses he plays but kid is very solid as a QB prospect. Does not get the 1st round hype but with a great year could jump a lot of other players at QB potentially.

*DJ Calhoun ILB Arizona State SR:
I like his speed and athletic ability at linebacker, can really flash and make some big plays. Has a lot of potential I think as a 3/4 ILB, has ability to blitz and the speed to cover ground and make tackles. Will see how he performs this season, is not an elite talent but has late round potential I feel.

*Martez Carter RB Grambling State SR
Will be curious how he does this year, is a big play back, great third down potential as a pass catcher and has good return skills as well. Is a super good weapon out of the backfield and plays a lot bigger than he is, and is hard to bring down with surprising toughness and good ability to make you miss. Could be a interesting prospect with a great season.

*Jaquan Yulee ILB Marshall RS FR
Very interested to watch him play his season, kid is a bull out there and is super strong and athletic. See if he can put it all together and show that talent on the field. Not many linebackers like him around, with that strength and power from the inside linebacker spot.

*Kamari Cotton-Moya S Iowa State SR:
I need to watch more of him, seems like a very interesting prospect. Good deep coverage man who can fly around an make plays on the back end. Has a lot of potential, will see how he performs this season.

*Chase Edmonds RB Fordham SR:
Very tough little running back with good breakaway speed and ability to make you miss. Has very good feet in the hole and accelerates quickly. Should have a dominating year this up coming season at that level and could be a decent late to mid round prospect come draft day. However his toughest competition all year will probably be his first game Army, so that is not saying a lot.

Dallas Goedert South Dakota State TE SR:
Really like how he moves on the football field. Very sudden a quick athlete, is a willing blocker as well and has the size to back it up. As a TE miss match he could be great on boot legs or play action passes. Can break and run through arm tackles which is impressive but might be helped by the competition he goes up against. Really interesting talent though, but again wish he was going up against better competition early this season however. Still as a talent kid is possible star.

*Jake Wieneke South Dakota State WR SR:
Has some amazing hands as a receiver, can make some outstanding catches on the sideline and over the shoulder as well. As a possession receiver in the slot and in close quarters he is a very interesting target. Might not have burner speed but in some ways makes up for that with his ball skills and ability to run routes. He benefits greatly from his teammate Goedert and vice versa, especially at that level. Will be interesting how he works out at the combine. Very interesting prospect though in this draft for sure.

*Richie James Middle Tennessee JR WR:
Is a really explosive athlete that can really make people miss in the open field. Has return potential for sure and is great after the catch, a tough little receiver not afraid to take a hit and can break tackles with his quickness. Strong hands as well, be very interesting how he does this year with much more attention and coverage on him. Really dangerous with the ball in his hands and his ability to take a hit and not just use his speed is impressive, tough kid.

*Jordan Jones Kentucky ILB JR:
Another interesting Kentucky linebacker prospect, super quick inside backer who can shoot the gap and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Could potentially be very good in a 3/4 defense, might have ability to play outside linebacker as well. Like how explosive and quick he is, wish he was a little heavier and longer but will see how he develops this year. Needs to be stronger at the point of attack and show more ability to get off blocks and make plays even when well blocked.

*Jonathan Crawford Indiana S JR:
What a freaking ball hawk he is, really good anticipation as a safety and really love his coverage potential. Can really go out and get the football, solid tackler as well and can cover a lot of ground. Be interesting what he does in a potentially deep safety draft, still he is right up there with the best in the nation.

*D'Andre Walker Georgia OLB JR:
Has potential this year to breakout as a pass rusher. Really like the quickness he shows off the edge and has a nice burst about him. Is part of a very deep and talented Georgia LB core but could see some time as a pass rush specialist in that 3/4.

*DaiShon Neal Nebraska DE RS SOPH:
Physically he is a freak show, massive size and length, very interesting prospect. Needs to work on his pass rush moves and ability to get off the block, but there is a ton to work with in him as a prospect.

*Nick Gates Nebraska OT RS JR:
Kid is a quite legit tackle, good feet and hands, nice power as well. Quick to react, I like him. Is potentially going to have a fine year and might be a early entry guy will see, good in pass pro and run blocking as well.

*Simmie Cobbs Jr Indiana WR RS JR:
If he can stay healthy kid is a legit receiver talent, is big and can really go up and get the football. Good after the catch and tough as well, not afraid of contact. Really nice looking athlete and with a great season could maybe become a 3rd or at best 2nd round pick.

*Delroy Baker Indiana OT RS JR:
Really good looking athlete, moves his feet quite well for a big man. Interesting talent will see how he does this year, looks to have a good deal of athletic upside and potential will be able to handle himself well in pass protection.

*A'Shon Riggins Indiana CB SOPH:
Kid is a fine corner, very good ball skills and reaction time in close quarters. Really like how he reacts to the football in the air, confident player as well. Be interesting how he does this year after a solid freshman season, is part of a very solid Indiana defensive backfield.

*Tyler Howell Missouri OT SR:
Very interested in watching him this year, massive man and has great length. Very experience pass protector as well. Impressive athlete for his size for sure, would like to see a little more power in the run game from him however.

*Richard LeCounte III Georgia S FR:
Is a promising looking talent, will see how he does during the season. Is a big time recruit, nice athlete who is strong and very fast, can cover a lot of ground. Could see a lot of early on playing time as well I think in a secondary that needs some work outside of Sanders.

*Mohamed Barry Nebraska OLB RS SOPH:
Very athletic linebacker who is fast and can move very well. Needs to get stronger at the point of attack but in space he is good. Can cover a little as well, should be a solid prospects in one or two years.

*Tyrique McGhee Georgia CB SOPH:
Is worth paying attention to I feel, is a nice looking athlete and moves well on the field. Comfortable in man coverage and could breakout this year in terms of his production. Will see how he performs in the season.

Already mention some of these guys a little bit before, but a few players that I think could really breakout and become stars this year.  A few of them could be really elite level talents, will see.

Cam Brown SOPH OLB Penn St:

Freak show athlete, expect huge things out of him this season.  Really long and could potentially be very hard to handle overall, just needs to improve on his strength and ability to take on and get off blocks.

Nate Herbig SOPH OG Stanford:

Should become one of the best guards in the nation this year.  Really powerful kid who is a strong tough run blocker, went to the right school for that.  Would be very surprised if he did not become one of the best at his position this year.

Terrell Lewis SOPH OLB Alabama:

Strange enough did change his last name this summer from Hall to Lewis, regardless the kid has a great spring and is a long lean athlete.  His big time potential at the 3/4 OLB spot.  Is huge physically and that defense has not had an athletic long pass rusher like him for awhile.  I expect big things out of him this year and to become possibly a big time prospect.

DJ Reed JR CB Kansas State:

Already is a star player off of last years performance, should be even better this year and become a house hold prospect  Big time cover man with big time return skills as well.  Really like his ball skills and his speed, tough little corner with a ton of athletic ability.

Manny Rugamba SOPH CB Iowa:

Really like his length at corner and his ability to stick to the receiver.  Is a good natural athlete and really impressed last year.  I expect him to be even better this year and possibly become one of the better corner prospects in the country.

Noah Furbush JR RS OLB Michigan:

Has been around for awhile but I expect him to take a huge step this year and become a productive playmaker at linebacker.  Really like his energy as a player, also really like his length at linebacker and overall size.  Will see if he can put it together this year and continue to impress like he did in the spring game.

Collin Johnson SOPH WR Texas:

Very long and lean athlete, like his combination of size and speed, good target and impressive athlete for his size.  Should become a real consistent playmaker this year and potentially become a elite level receiver.

Harrison Phillips SR DT Stanford:

Played well last year but this year he could move into the elite category being the man on that DL.  Really like his motor and the way he can get off blocks and use his hands.  Very active player who could become one of the best defensive tackles in the nation.

Jawaan Taylor SOPH OT Florida:

Love his size, is a giant tackle and is a very solid and thick kid.  Really liked his play last year and should become a house hold name this year potentially.  Has really strong arms and hands, no problem keeping defenders off him and has surprisingly good feet for such a huge kid.

Taylor Rapp SOPH S Washington:

Has super ball skills at safety, really flashed at times last year and his coverage ability is extremely interesting.  Very smart player and got stronger as the season went on as a freshman, should become an elite prospect shortly.

Furbush is maaaaybe Michigan's 4th LB, and that's not really a guarantee since he usually backs up the Viper as the SAM backer.

Not sure if you saw, but Rugamba got suspended for game 1.

I could see McCray, Bush, and Furbush being the three backers, possibly could have Hudson in that Viper position and Reuben Jones could get some time because they are more athletic.   And Furbush could be used more as a down DE at times or at least a guy coming off the edge, he or Carlo Kemp would fit that spot possibly but I like Furbush away from the line of scrimmage more than Kemp who is more of a down DE.    They play a lot of guys like most defenses do, players in and out so I think he will get plenty of opportunities if he produces.

I did not hear that Rugamba got suspended game 1, and yeah at least it is not Dedrick Mills situation who was kicked off the team and was their best offensive player, good talent someone will get a good tough runner wherever he goes.

"*Adam Breneman TE UMASS JR RS:
Has amazing hands as a TE, makes some really amazing catches look pretty easy. Not a fan of his size however, but as a pure pass catcher he is a problem for sure. Can really go up and get the ball and work his way open down field. See how he does this year, could easily come out early as a redshirt junior. As a HB/TE type talent pass catching he is interesting for sure. "

Breneman is a 5th year senior.  He has all the skills you want for an NFL TE, but has the knees of a 50 yr old (which is why he quit football after graduating from Penn State)

So ok 2014 was his redshirt year then on Penn State.  That was a little confusing thanks for the correction.  Kid looked pretty damn fine physically and athletic / agile last year as a tight end, hope the knees do not become a problem again.

Prospect Standouts Week 1:

*Darius Jackson SR OLB Jacksonville St:
Wow, that kid is super quick and athletic off the edge.  He looks a little awkward if you view him as a DE only, but as a potential 3/4 OLB he could be really special as a pass rusher.  Reminds me of a Dwight Freeney type as a potential 3/4 undersized backer he could do some great things.  Not sure he could play DE in a 4/3 but maybe, also question him in drop back coverage but like Freeney might not need to do that often.  Still really impressed regardless, very interesting player who could play himself into being a 2nd round pick or maybe late 1st because of his outstanding pass rush skills.

*Corbin Kaufusi RS JR DE BYU:
No clue why one on walks about this guy, brought him up last year and has really rounded into form this year.  Is a freaking condor out there, just massive wing span and great DE prospect and even potential 3/4 DE as well.  Love his upside, had him in the 3rd round before the season, might have to change that to 2nd and maybe late 1st if he keeps this up.

*Nate Herbig SOPH OG Stanford:
Really fun kid to watch, just crushes people out there.  I hyped him before this season and I would be surprised if he is not one of the best guards at the end of the year in the nation.  Just a mauler down there and love his run blocking ability and power, really promising young talent at guard.

*Bryce Love JR RB Stanford:
Dang he looked in really good shape, super quick and athletic.  Has been a productive back and this year he will be the man and seems that he will greatly take advantage of that.  Should do really well this season in terms of production behind a very impressive offensive line as usual at Stanford.

*Roc Thomas SR RB Jacksonville State:
Liked him on Auburn, will be drafted for sure at running back, looks really athletic and quick.  Good big play back or third down back, can make you miss and take it the distance.  Big time athlete though and should climb up draft boards all year, nice 2nd tear running back prospect potentially.

*Troy Warner SOPH CB BYU:
Really like how he played at corner, tall kid long arms and good looking athlete.  Will see how he does this year, looks like a very nice corner prospect for sure down the road.

*Jamari Hester SOPH WR Jacksonville St
Really nice looking receiver prospect, long his size is listed at 6-7 and is very long.  Nice speed as well for that size, can get off the line well and has a little burst to him, is not a slow athlete.  Will be very interesting how he develops, needs to work on some things but his upside is huge.

*Ryan Nall JR RB Oregon State:
Not sure why ESPN was calling him a full back, the kid is a legit RB prospect I feel.   Liked him a lot last year,  has really impressive speed for a big man, can catch the football and make big plays down field.  Really interesting prospect and could be a early entry guy with a fine season.

*Isaiah Mack JR DT Chattanooga:
Impressed with him, thick strong kid with very good quickness for a defensive tackle.  Playing more at DE and looked really solid there as well, could potentially be a fine 3/4 DE as well.  I need to see more of him but really interesting looking player for sure, strong and quite athletic for his size.  Will be very interesting to watch how he develops, has a ton to work with.

*Lucas Webb SR S Chattanooga:
Need to see more of him for sure but kid is very smooth in coverage and a accomplished open field tackler, made some very good tackles in that game.  Could be a sleeper prospect at safety, has big time potential and ability and could really climb up the draft boards this year with his coverage skills and tackling combo.

*David Bright SR OG/OT Stanford:
Really impressive game by him I thought, really moved around well and pulled well.  Could potentially be a beast at guard or even at tackle, nice versatility and with a good season would be a solid second tear OL prospect I feel.  Nice start to his senior season for sure for Bright.

*Dalton Schultz SR TE Stanford:
Really impressed with his blocking ability, can really get after it and is a fine blocker.  Not the best deep threat TE in the world, has really good quick feet, nice route runner but not super dangerous as a pass catcher in terms of going up and getting the ball.  Still nice game by him and could climb up draft boards with more pass catching production.

*Reggie Hall SR CB Jacksonville St:
Really like his length at corner, very long kid with long arms.  Pretty solid in coverage as well, has some return skills ontop of that.  Impressed with him as a prospect, could be a late round or undrafted free agent I think with a good season.  Could be a convert to free safety also with that length.

*Sione Takitaki JR OLB BYU:
Got into the backfield easily and often in that game.  Got pressure on the quarterback and showed great quickness and speed in pursuit.  Be interesting how he does this season, could become a big time playmaker with that speed off the edge, still want to see some more overall tackling ability and toughness at the point of attack.

*Harrison Phillips RS JR DT Stanford:
Liked him before the season he looked to form in this first game, is strong as can be and has a great motor.  One of the best defensive tackles in the nation I feel and should have a real dominating season this year I think, 1st round prospect potentially if all goes well for him.

*Matt Bushman FR TE BYU:
Very nice looking prospect, can go up and get the football and is an active playmaker.  Will see if he can keep that up as the season goes on, big athletic kid though for a TE, nice looking prospect for sure.

*Colby Parkinson FR TE Stanford:
Huge tight end that had a big game for a freshman, really long and athletic pass catcher.  Great high pointing the football and can stretch the field and make plays.  With this run game in this offense he could have a really big season despite being in a very talented tight end crew at Stanford.

*Fred Warner SR OLB BYU:
Liked him a lot last year and seems he will round out his senior year quite well, good active linebacker who is smooth in coverage and athletic to play in space.  Good build physically and can mix it up inside.  Nice mid round to late round prospect I think and a solid OLB prospect overall.

*Marlon Bridges SOPH S Jacksonville St:
Really like him as a athlete, is one to watch develop for sure.  Active safety who can fly around and make plays in the back end and around the line of scrimmage.  Really interesting with his speed in coverage, was a active player last year see how he progresses this season if a surprisingly talent defensive backfield for Jacksonville State.

*Joseph Parker JR WR Chattanooga:
Could develop into a solid playmaker down the road, runs good routes, has nice hands and does all the small things right.  Is not a burner and does not have great athletic ability but it is clear he is a smooth well training receiver with a lot of fundamental skills.

Others who impressed:
BJ Autry OG JR Jacksonville St
JJ Nwigwe JR TE BYU
Siran Neal SR CB Jacksonville St.
Kavika Fonua JR RB BYU
Austin Hoyt JR OT BYU
Cameron Scarlett JR RB Stanford
Nick Tiano SOPH QB Chattanooga
Chris Seisay SR CB Portland St

Disappointed:

Tanner Mangum JR QB BYU -
Was not impressed with his play, lacked spark and struggled with shorter throws and his accuracy I thought.  Still has some nice long passes, and his receiver weapons are not all that great or all that experienced so that could explain some of it.  Still I expect improvement out of him and some of that magic he showed a few years back as the starter.
