No but it is a huge whiff given the elite talent you guys could have had. Bortles isn't hard to replace.

True there were others to take and having a guy like Mack or Donald would have been awesome but its not like any QB drafted that year was Goff/Wentz/Wilson either

Carr is definitely in that tier

I disagree. If people are given the option of one of those 4, Carr probably isnt even Top-3 in half the lists

I mean you don’t have anything to back up that claim. What makes Wentz, Goff and Wilson distinctively better than Carr?

Carr has only had one season where he was around that tier. The rest of his career has been tepid at best. Like Flacco of recent, his cannon of an arm overshadows that he really is a captain checkdown QB. Hopefully he gets back to that level with Gruden in charge.

No he’s had 2 very good seasons. But even if you only want to give him 1 the same is true about Wentz and Goff. There’s not a large enough sample size of them yet to say they are head and shoulders above Carr.

Off topic but jeeze that 2014 1st round draft class was stacked...Clowney, Watkins, Mack, Matthews, Evans, Barr, Lewan, Beckham, Donald, Shazier, Martin, Mosley, Cooks, Dix, Verrett....that was also the year Carr didn't go until the 2nd round with the likes of Borltes, Manziel, and Bridgewater all going ahead of him in round 1.

Plus you forgot to mention Justin Gilbert.
