Two more articles talking about training camp.  Seems like a lot of hard work and pushing each other to get playing time which should only improve the team and really let the cream rise to the top.

not sure this warranted a whole thread of its own, but anyone wanna say what titans fans can expect from kenny vacarro? cyprien was a box safety who was terrible in coverage but relatively effective vs the run (though he was no stranger to missed tackles in that department either). not a truly awful player, but the weakest starter in our secondary by a pretty fair margin. sounds like we can expect somewhat of the same thing from vacarro- is that right?

About the same, but with some additional mental errors thrown in.

I agree with both of these assessments.

But let’s not forget Vaccaros hot streak early this season when PFF graded him as a top 5 slot corner like halfway though the season  and some people though he might price himself out of a new contract with New Orleans

if some team finds a way to harness that consistently (doubtful) Vaccaro becomes a top box safety who can cover the slot well, which every team could use.

When KV was on, he was really, really good, and he is a very hard hitter.
...and when he was off, he dragged the whole defense down, hence the benching(s) and ultimately his release.

I'm not sure if his issues were personal, or if he had some conflict with coaching, especially Payton, but it was clear that Payton was pretty done with KV about mid season last year.

As others have said, when Kenny shows up to play, he's a damn good player. When he doesn't show up to play, he's one of the worst. True Jekyll and Hide player, and honestly, I think it's all mental with him. Hope the Titans staff can find a way to keep him focused.
