Black Ops 4

I haven't seen a thread for this yet.  I figured with the beta dropping for Playstation this week, there might be some people interested.

Treyarch is by far my favorite Call of Duty developer and thus, Black Ops is the one series I'll always show support for.  BO3 was kind of disappointing, but it wasn't a bad game so much as it simply wasn't as memorable as BO2 or BO1, both of which had memorable guns, streaks, maps, etc.  This is the trailer they released for the multiplayer beta with a tease for the Battle Royale mode teased at the end.

Anyone planning on buying it or at least trying out out this week (or next week if you're on Xbox)?

Yes, I'm definitely going to be in the beta.  I already have everything set up for it.  I'm really looking forward to this game and I haven't been like this in years with a CoD game.  Even though Black Ops 3 was a really good game, I didn't really look forward to it at the time.  I'm really hoping this game is great.  And yes, TreyArch is the only developer that makes good CoD games.

Watching some streams right now, this game looks sick.  A lot like BO3 but without the jetpacks.  Looks like the same specialists but might be a bit different?  Biggest difference so far looks like you can see enemies health and you can heal yourself.  And the pick 10 create a class is back.  WW2 sucked so much I'm really excited for this one.

The only thing that I just can't get past and literally the one thing that's holding me back from dropping my $60 right now is the fact that we have to pay for DLC.  Not only is that such a terrible business model, consumers have to pay more, but it also creates fragment within the community.  Even greedy EA knows not to do that with Battlefield 5.

Yeah, I put a lot of time into COD, but I'm not buying the DLC. The DLC maps rarely come up in the rotation after the first month or so anyway.

Seriously, what is the point of allowing quick scoping?  I just don't understand.  It's by far the most frustrating way to die in the game.  Aren't snipers supposed to be at a severe disadvantage in close/medium quarters if they have a sniper and someone has a SMG/assault rifle?  Well, not in this game.  This is extremely disappointing and needs to be adjusted in some way.
