I'll probably be posting that every single time OSU loses a game for like 5 years tbh.

Posts like this make me root for more Aggie fans on this forum. How in the world aren't there more of them...come on...they're out there, I know it.

WTF is wrong with these people?

I don't see a problem with this when you go from the perspective that he isn't conceding he assaulted her (and his lawyer needs to represent his clients interests). As much as this investigation really isn't about the merits of the allegation but the handling of it, that is not the way the most people think. They will link the two so he has to make public statements to counter it or risk losing his case before he even walks into the court room.

This is normal to you as a lawyer.

It is appaling to us as regular people.

Never said he doesn't have say. What I said is if he did his job (informing those he needed to) then he shouldn't be fired because I don't think coaches or anyone in any walk of life have a responsibility to do more than what is required. And in some instances doing "more" is actually harmful or counterproductive.

I'm personally not a fan of the fire/suspend people because they have been alleged to have done something. I believe in due process (both legally and morally) so that no punitive measures should be taken unless/until the allegations have been verified (to whatever standard is deemed necessary in the circumstances). And even more so as @ramssuperbowl99 will tell you as we've had this debate I'm not a believer in putting the onus for punishment for DV or sexual assault on organizations outside law enforcement. That isn't to say that they must retain him, only that I will not begrudge an organization that does nor will I think they have done something wrong and/or immoral nor will I look at it as supporting or minimizing the alleged offense.

well we should just agree to dissgree, if youve read my last post yet we just have a fundamental difference in opinion. i dont want people working for me that just want to get by and do as little as possible while sticking to there job description.

while i generally agree that we need to let things play out and evidence develop, he knew what took place in 09. this wasnt an isolated incident, and it should have been heavily weighed when the new accusation came to light. it very clearly wasnt.

Key here.

People need to step back and look at it from an objective standpoint. Take emotions and personal opinions out of it.

You can't prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that Meyer covered up anything.

If he reported it, which he claims, than it's effectively out of his hands. That's what you're supposed to do in his position

Stupid OSU fans and their stupid bias......................... wait a sec

I responded to that, the "do more than the job description" in the two situations are not comparable in any way.

End of the day ask yourself the following:

1) Are you convinced that Urban Meyer didn’t intend to mislead at Big Ten Media Day?

2) Do you believe that Urban Meyer as a head coach has the role of setting an example for young men?

3) Do you believe that Urban Meyer understands the severity of the situation?

4) Do you believe that based on these statements that Urban Meyer would do anything different if put in the same situation again?

5) In a case of domestic violence, do you find it reasonable that Ohio State administrators including Urban Meyer apologized to “Buckeye Nation” three times and Courtney Smith zero times?

6) When Urban Meyer states that he’s shaping men on and off the field, do you believe him?
