Quenton Nelson and Matt Slauson are pretty much locked in at LG and RG. Braden Smith is the future at RG.

Anthony Castonzo started off Training Camp on the NFI list with a hamstring injury that occurred during private workouts. Mewhort was filling in for Castonzo at LT for the first workouts. Castonzo was activated from the NFI list today.

That's rather sudden. Figured Mewhort would be a backup with the revamp effort on the OL, but didn't expect him to retire.

Does he have an injury history to account for?

He missed 11 games last year with a knee injury and 6 games in 2016. But he was recovered before OTAs

Mewhort was the last player from the Colt’s 2014 draft class

Grigson’s draft picks remaining on the Colt’s roster

2012 - QB Andrew Luck, WR TY Hilton

2015 - S Clayton Geathers, T Denzel Good

2016 - C Ryan Kelly, S TJ Green, T Le’Raven Clark, DT Hassan Ridgeway, T Joe Haeg, LB Antonio Morrison

That doesn't seem ideal IMHO.
