Couldn't agree more. We have seen almost none of our first team offense and the tackles are EXTREMELY worrisome. I think they expected more from the guys at RT.

It won't surprise me to see Penn back at LT shortly after the start of the regular season.

You knew when they threw Donald over to RT, they had a problem. The RT spot didn't work out how they planned. Now I getting the feeling they are throwing Miller to the wolves and praying Penn can be average on that side. Going to be a disaster IMO. Miller is going to get worked by Bosa/Miller, etc. He's not ready from what I've seen

We see eye to eye again, unfortunately. We should have tried harder to address RT if we weren't going to move Kolton (or McGlinchey). As I said, I think they had higher hopes for our young tackles.

And who's playing RT?

Could they try Aboushi? Just spit-balling.

Maybe they get lucky and a vet gets released from another team. Right now, I don't see another option

Agree that this would be the ideal, but I'm not counting on it happening. Hence looking for answers on the roster. Not to mention we have no cap space

RT has been awful for several years, going back to Cornell Green/Kwame Harris days. We have worked around it in the past with Austin Howard, and it can't get any worse. We have to hope Penn can become at least serviceable. Carr has always gotten rid of the ball extremely quickly so that negates the impact. Expect more screens this year as well. Run offense....well we are stacked with blockers in my opinion and I think Gruden has big plans for Keith Smith and blocking TEs. Could explain Seth Roberts likely making the team also.

We haven't seen any really creative formations or anything of the sort, so I'll reserve judgement until MNF. They clearly have been as vanilla as possible on the offensive side this preseason.

Come MNF, I'm expecting a lot of double TE sets and two backs in the backfield. Gruden is going to try to live up to his idea of smash mouth football. Let the best middle 3 OL in the league put some guys on their *** then run some creative passes out of the same look. All said and done, if us fans are worrying about the tackles, then I'm sure Gruden and Olsen have been well aware of it for awhile and have been concocting a plan of action. At least I hope..

Howard was atleast average but overpaid... Watson was average but injury prone... as bad as it may sound, bringing him back wouldn't be the worse idea

Calling Austin Howard and Menelik Watson, 2 guys cut or about to be, average goes to show how bad its been. They were and are well below average. The other trash we have had in the past at RT made them look serviceable.

Tackles are the weak point on this offense. I saw this coming a mile away. Penn is old, Giacomi is probably worse, than who we had last year, and Miller isn't ready. There's no way the raiders are going to be throwing it deep against teams like LA or DEN because Carr will die.

Smith and Lynch will be extremely valuable in terms of pass protection this season.  So many great pass rushers in our division and our OTs are  going to have their hands full.  Lynch is a great pass blocker and will more than earn his $$ keeping Carr upright.
