Breaking: Raiders release practice squad vet Giorgio Tavecchio

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

In a stunning move, Oakland has waived short tenured active roster kicker Giorgio Tavecchio.

"The Italian stallion" as he was known by his bay area fans was set to be the incumbent for his kicking position, until today.  Eddy Pineiro has played the part of "Rocky" in this camp upset.

I know some of you will be upset, but please keep this to football.

How will this hinder the Raiders Superbowl chances?

How will Pinerio do now that his competition is Mike "Big leg-no aim" Nugent?

Sorry guys... Tried to make it interesting.  ?

Really? This was necessary?

He was our starting kicker.  I did have a little fun with it.

I for one am shocked and appalled byJon Gruden's actions and demand he re-sign this place kicker immediately or don't cause he's just a kicker and kicker's aren't human.

Bets on how long it takes them to trade for Sebastian Janikowski?

To be fair.. he was selected in the first round.

Tavecchio at 28 was too young to play for Gruden. The 36 year old Nugent barely reaches the age requirement for Gruden's team, but he'll at least be given a chance to show what he's got!

The only thing breaking is my sanity when I realize they are paying Gruden 100m for 10 years.

Of topic I know,  but there are several coaches salaries sitting between 7.5 and 8 mill a year.  Is 10 really that hard to fathom?
