So how much do you guys put the crappy line play the last year on Zampeze/Alexander vs The front office? I have to blame Mikey and company for not at least resigning either Whit or Zeitler and their line of reasoning that the line was bad even when they were here is bunk because that year blame should 100% go to Zamp/Alexander.

Just like Villian said, blame everyone, but also the players they were banking on. Yeah it sucks they couldn't resign either Whitworth or Zeitler, but either guy was vastly overpaid at first glance. Zeitler became the highest paid OG in the NFL, and while he's a great player he's not the best OG in the NFL by a longshot. Whitworth who was already at the age or 35 at the time was given 12 million a year and that's not something I would want to give to a guy his age, even though he played a big part with the Rams last year, at some point his play has to decline. They drafted guys like Ogbuehi and Fisher as the future for the team and both guys appear to be busts now, and you can't put all the blame on the coaches for that, those guys odiously don't have what it takes.

What the front office should be blamed for is not doing enough to address the issues with the OL earlier. Last year was a perfect example of that by not drafting a single OL player till the 5th round. Now this year they made vast improvements with Glenn and Price, but they stopped halfway which means they didn't finish the job, and only drafting 2 OL players in the draft doesn't help with already one of them out for the season. If 3 of the 5 starters this year turn good, that's a win in my book. 4 out of 5 would be a f ing miracle.

You can certainly blame Alexander and Zampese as well since neither coach knew what they were doing. Alexander was spoiled with a good OL for the past several years here that once that group started to crack, he was exposed. It wasn't really Zampese's job to make the OL better at the end of the day, but when the players on the team are frustrated with a coach its a major concern. Frank Pollack has a lot of work to do, but he if he can turn around this group and should Bill Lazor fails as an OC, then might as well promote Pollack to an OC next year.
