NudeTayne Posted August 6, 2018 Share Posted August 6, 2018 I just checked Corey Coleman's contract and he has two years and three and a half million left, which isn't that much, but perhaps the truth is that he was about to be cut. They decided to save that money, for whatever reason, especially if guys on league minimum contracts were outperforming him. As has been mentioned a few times now, it's been fairly well known that Corey Coleman has been on the trade block for months now and nobody has bitten. Trading him for essentially nothing right now looks to me like they had actually planned to cut him and that no one had even offered as much as, say, a 5th rounder. I don't know if I agree or disagree with the idea, but perhaps they got offered as high as a 6th rounder and really wanted to send a message so made sure they sent him to the worst place possible for his career. For all we know, it got discussed with Tyrod and perhaps another player or two of note and credibility who all said they thought the best thing would be to get him off the team.
