DoleINGout
Eddie Pleasant Devin McCourty Pat Chung Duron Harmon Damarius Travis Nate Ebner Jason Richards Duke Dawson These are your current 2018 Patriots safeties and chances are most of them make the roster. There are a lot of special teams oriented players comprising the list, but which few will stand out and make it? - Ebner is coming off an ACL injury from last season and has a noticeable limp now when he runs, according to patriots.com camp observations. - Richards has special teams experience as a protector but as a safety he has many lowlights in his career. In the Pats first preseason game Richards helped out on one noteworthy tackle but missed on a couple of other attempts including one that was negated due to a penalty by the offense. - Travis has enjoyed some praise between last season on the scout team and the camps this year. Against the Redskins Travis received a healthy dose of playing time with unremarkable results. - Duke Dawson, (versatile 2018 second round pick), Pat Chung, (recent contract extension), Devin McCourty, (Pro Bowler team captain), and Duron Harmon, (contract extension last off-season) would all appear to be safe bets for the Pats final roster. - Pleasant worked one on one with Steve Belichick today after practice and is generally talked about favorably througout practices this summer. I don't remember Pleasant standing out for any reason good or bad against the Redskins so hopefully this week there is more opportunity to assess the situation. Which guys will make it?
