What would need to happen for you to be ready to bench Tyrod and start Drew Stanton?

The Drew Stanton era

  1. 1. Ideal time to get sauced (start Drew Stanton) is

    • If we're 0-4.
      4
    • if we need a spark coming out of the bye, week 12.
      0
    • only if Tyrod is struggling at the halfway point.
      1
    • only if we make the playoffs and want to outmaneuver our opponent.
      4
    • right away. Tyrod has proven nothing. We might as well see what we have with Stanton.
      1
    • if Tyrod looks like a game manager.

Baker 3rd string preseason? Bust confirmed.

Also, this is probably so that if we have a Tyrod Week 1 injury and Baker isn't ready we don't have a struggling rookie QB who isn't quite ready turn into a mob mentality with the fans and a trigger happy owner.

Darnold would have made a pro bowl by now.

Also, it’s time to kick uglies and hand out electronic footballs. And I’m all out of balls.

So, we've had similar QB plans the last several seasons.

"[Sucky QB] is our starter.  We're behind him 100%."  Then, said QB either stinks out loud or gets hurt (usually the latter), and then we throw in [QB that sucks worse].  Other than 2007, the plan never works.  And we had the best LT in the league for all those years, and our QB's still got hurt.

Now that our LT situation is up in the air, it would be reverse Brownsy to have a QB plan executed to perfection.  What better year to have no QB injuries than when your OL is unstable?

Lock it in.

Before you people derail this thread with talk about quarterbacks WHO AREN'T EVEN ON THIS TEAM, please be sure to vote for posterity on the poll. It'll be fun to look back during the season to see if we were right about when Hue goes for The Sauce®.

Can’t fault that logic.
