I'm watching the game now so my comments will be a bit late. First drive is terrible for Connor Williams. He gets a pass on one play because it's Geno Adkins but he was pushed back into Dak like a little boy, luckily Dak completes the short pass for a 1st. But on 1st down Williams gives up early penetration on the outside run to Rod Smith that got us behind the chains, against ANDREW BILLINGS, then Dak misses Jarwin, or rather Jarwin isn't good enough to get out of his break in time. They blitz on 3rd, Dak dumps it Hurns for 3 on 3rd and 9.  We punt. But very bad 1st drive for Connor Williams.

Not having Frederick next to him didn’t help. We all knew Connor is not strong at the point of attack. Bull rush is his weakness until he gets stronger. Gonna take him a full season under our program to get him bulked up

Defense first drive is a 3 and out. Two straight runs I believe both by Mixon, left them with 3rd and 5. Good flow to the ball on the first run by Jaylon Smith, after the dline clogged it up inside. 2nd run was swallowed up inside by Woods and Ross.

For all those wanting huge DTs(me) this may be our heaviest year yet at this spot.

3rd down, Yes AJ Green got open and Dalton missed him. Anthony Brown got picked by Tyler Boyd on one of those "legal" pick plays and sprung Green wide open. We had a safety over top so it would've probably got them 30 yards or more, but it wasn't a TD if caught.

I have seen enough from our starters for the preseason.

We need to bring in more players our teams debt from the practice field compared to game time is night and day. We still need oline debt because Green and Edwards are not going to cut it.

Anthony Brown needs to be 4th string CB.

Starting to lean towards giving up a 2nd for ET

2nd drive for starting O:

After an 8 yard 1st down pass to Swaim Good pull on 2nd and 2 from Connor Williams to spring Rod Smith for 5 and a first down.  It's a pull to his side, and this is where he shines. He loops around Tyron Smith and is athletic enough to find safety Shawn Williams and take him to the sideline where he eventually ends up on his back with a little help from Rod Smith.

We started with a short field thanks to the defense, but the "big" play of the drive is a fake end around to Hurns that turns into a screen to Rod Smith. The OL does some acting but the Bengals blitz and almost take Dak down. He got the pass off with a fade away on his back foot, and Smith was able to beat the diving LB with some high knees who wasn't fooled at all by the misdirection. But there wasn't much defense after him and we picked up 20 yards on the play.

The drive ends right after that play though mainly due to Dak Prescotts inaccuracy. He misses Jarwin high on first down but he may have tucked it and ran if it were a real game. 2nd down is a shotgun draw with Rod Smith lined up to Daks left. Dak takes the ball and turns to his right, finding no one, he does a full 360 and hands the ball off to Smith just in time. The play gets 1. On 3rd down he has a Rod Smith open but doesn't see him, he goes for the slant in the end zone but misses so high that the nobody on the field made an effort to get the ball, and the announcer said, "whoa!."  It looked like he threw it away except he wasn't trying to.

We settle for a fg. Linehan is in Daks ear after

Defense second drive is good for a 2nd straight 3 and out. Good plays in order by Heath for a TFL on an outside run, Anthony Brown for a Malcolm Butler type near-INT on Tyler Boyd, and Jaylon Smith with his coverage on the TE.

6 and out to start the game for the D.

Very impressive.

3rd offensive drive, not getting anywhere with the shotgun draws inside, but Rod Smith busts a big one right up the middle with a FB in the game. Without a FB we are only having some success pulling our line to the outside but not much up the gut.

Dak is doing a good job hitting people when the defense is in Zone. He found Twill and Swaim sitting down in the open spots. In Man coverage he threw a risky one on a comeback route to Gallup. Dre Kirkpatrick was all over him even though Gallup pushed off. Lucky it wasn't a pick Dak would have been the one to have to make the tackle.

3rd and 1 with a FB. Converted.

Dak misses Blake Jarwin long in man coverage. No separation at all, but the ball landed out of bounds. Pulled the OL to the right for a good 7 yard gain on 2nd down.

MARTIN DOWN!!! MARTIN DOWN!!! GET HIM THE FFFFFFFFFFFFOUTTTTTTTTT!!!

Good throw and route on the slant to Gallup to pick up the first. Man coverage.

1st and goal. 1st down is shotgun draw inside. Nothing.

2nd down. Incredible job by Dak avoiding a free rushing safety to scramble outside and net positive on what is a sack for most QBs.

3rd and goal. Dak scrambles out again. Goes the other way this time. Playing back yard ball waiting for someone to get open. Twill TD.

16 plays 82 yards.
