2019 prospects and outlook

Paul Adams was taking snaps during the pro day.  He already is a good run blocker as RT so hopefully, he can do at Center.  I think his projection is 4th-6th round so he may be a good option just in case if Maccagnan keeps his old habit ala drafting OL after premium rounds.

Just did this on First-Pick.com.  Traded back with TB who traded up for Jawaan Taylor.  TB offered 1st, 2nd, 3rd for our 1st and 5th.  I'd be really happy with this.  Anyone else?

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 5 (T.B.): Allen, Josh, OLB, Kentucky (A)
Round 2 Pick 7 (T.B.): Little, Greg, OT/OG, Mississippi (B+)
Round 3 Pick 4: McCoy, Erik, OG/C, Texas AM (A)
Round 3 Pick 6 (T.B.): Isabella, Andy, WR, Massachusetts (A)
Round 3 Pick 29: Brown, Blace, CB, Troy (A+)
Round 4 Pick 3: Sanders, Miles, RB, Penn State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 23: Bars, Alex, OG, Notre Dame (A+)
Round 7 Pick 3: Johnson, Isaiah, CB, Houston (A+)

First 4 picks were:

1. Arizona: Murray

2. SF: Bosa

3 TB via NYJ: Taylor

4. Raiders: Q. Williams

It looks like Drew lock let us down.  Lock and Broncos are on the same page passively.  Damn him.   Dwayne Haskins may be our only hope for a trade down.

I don't think anyone was going to trade to 3 for Lock.... he just isn't good enough

For what it’s worth, I saw the QB velocity results from the combine. Haskins, Lock and Jones didn’t do so well. The way that the NFL Network is talking about these guys they made it seem like Lock and Haskins had great arms but they are  pretty average , similar to Prescott.

So much for Lock having a cannon.  Though Deshaun Watson threw 49 mph and still went fairly early,  I don't think teams care about these as much as we think.

I was hoping for Haskins and Lock to put themselves into top 5 conservation at last minute.  I know it is silly of me to think that way but if both were included in top 5 talk then Jets would have strong chance to trade down.  Now, no team will hurry up and get qb.  Giants like Haskins but not enough to make effort to secure his talent.   Haskins still has time to prove that he is better choice than Rosen and Carr when it comes to trading for new qb scenario.   Lock definitely isn't top 10 so Broncos could go ahead and take him or gamble the trade down and taking him.

Yesterday, I drove the freaking Corrolla at slightly under 65 mph and I was passed by F-250, the truck easily put itself ahead of me by a good 30 feet.  This happened right in front of parked cop car.  No action. uh? lol.

I think I will move on from this silly event.  I only wish I have tool that can calibrate internet video into real live speed so I can see the actual arm strength from qbs.

Let’s say we move out of 3 with the Giants or Redskins who would you guys be looking at in those spots? For me it would be

6: Jonah Williams or Cody Ford

15: Garrett Bradbury, Andre Dillard or Clelin Ferrell

Brian Burns at 6th.   Since Jets haven't add a solid CB for starting gig I may think about DeAndre Baker or Bryon Murphy for 15th.

6. Q(not impossible for him to fall here), Burns, Ford, Williams

15. Burns (could be there), Sweat, Ferrell, Bradbury

I really don't think Baker or Murphy are worth the #15 pick in the draft... for completely different reasons.  Baker because the worst kept secret is that he was a terrible interview and is lazy as hell, apparently he did 0 prep for the combine, he just isn't coachable and is a bit of a punk.  Murphy is a good player but he is kind of strictly a zone guy which we aren't going to play, and to be honest zone CB's just aren't valued as highly as they are easier to find and less is asked of them.
