beardown3231
RT @RapSheet: It looked nasty, but the ankle injury for #Bears TE Adam Shaheen wasn’t nearly as bad as it appeared. Source said Shaheen suffered a low-ankle sprain based on initial tests. More tests are coming, but if that holds, he wouldn’t be ruled out to play Week 1. Madmike90
Very good news...my hopes are high for Shaheen this year...Burton is going to be a clear cut #1 but with how often we will play him in the slot I fully expect Shaheen to play a ton of inline snaps and make an impact. Sugashane
This is fantastic. Shaheen has put in work all offseason and it is evident in his physical changes and play on the field. Glad to see he is going to be returning sooner than it looked like he would.
malagabears
So happy it is not worst case scenario..3-4 weeks of rehab and he should be good to go. Bears should not rush him though.
G08
I thought he broke his ankle, this is wonderful news!
IronMike84
Like I said, I don’t even care if he isn’t a go for week 1. If he’s available weeks 4-17, that’s a win.
beardown3231
Maybe not so good news for Shaheen- Nagy spoke today and by the words, it's worse than they thought. More than a sprain, less than a fracture. I don't expect him back until the week after the bye in Miami.
Nads786
And he has an issue with his foot as well. This sucks, I was hoping for a big year for him.

Heinz D.
Good that it's not as bad as it looked. Bummer that he'll miss some substantial time. He's looked pretty good out there...
G08
I think he's going to miss the first 4 games/5 weeks of the season. Come back after the bye.
yomyyo
Pace just said that he's being placed on IR with possibility to return.

That will clearly space for Williams and will be the reason we initially kept 5 TEs. I expect we will see him back pretty quickly.
