and the team against which it was set ceased to exist that same year

Bombed 'em to extinction.

I'm just surprised that 2a and 2b are both Houston QBs (Moon and Schaub).

looks like a tebow statline lol

Crazy thing to see with Tebow though, he threw TDs on 4.7% of his pass attempts (ties Matt Ryan) and INTs on only 2.5% of his passes (better than Peyton Manning).

Of course stats are a "bit" misleading when comparing them. lol

During the 1962 regular season, the Houston Oilers had five different games in which their quarterbacks served up at least five interceptions each. However, the Oilers managed to prevail in all five games. Only sixteen times in all the years since 1962 has a team thrown five picks or more in a game and emerged victorious.

The 1963 San Diego Chargers deployed a complex zone pass defense invented by Chuck Noll and Al Davis. Far more advanced than the man to man system used throughout the NFL.

When the Colts fired Weeb Ewbank in 1963, Noll and Don Shula both wanted the HC job.

Steve Young's career as a 49ers starter against the LA/STL Rams? 13-0.

After several seasons with the USFL LA Express, then two more with the Tampa Bay Bucs, Young looked spent. Bill Walsh arranged a covert tryout for Young at BYU. While visiting the alma mater, Young was convinced to throw a few for the student athletes.  As a crowd gathered, Walsh took note of his skill set. $$ was made available.

Read that in My Life Behind the Spiral? Good book.

No, it is however a well known story. Do you recommend the book?

The Bucs had two SB winning QBs and still couldn't get untracked.

It's a good read. Only downside is that Steve gets a tad bit preachy about his religion at times, and what it means to him. Everyone's taste will very on that though. In any case, the book is a quality autobiography, and there are some interesting information about his career in football which he covers in great detail.

From 1995 to 2001 the NFC West consisted of:

San Francisco 49ers

New Orleans Saints

St. Louis Rams

Atlanta Falcons

Carolina Panthers

Hahahahaha been a while forgot how ridiculous that was. “West”  only one was west
