If Davis makes a sharp cut at the 36, It's a pretty easy completion. This entire offense is about Mariota throwing to spots and trusting that the receiver will be where they're supposed to be. You don’t just blindly throw at a spot and “trust” they be there. A great QB can realize a stumble in a route and adjust his throw accordingly.
