Should make it a little easier making a tough roster cut since we will get a roster exemption and it increases the likelihood of him playing the last 8 weeks of the season. Apparently, the team is already aware of the ban, and Smith is currently appealing it with the league. It stems from a violation of the personal conduct policy. Smith has been involved in a custody battle, and his ex accused him of illegal drug use and domestic violence last year, though no criminal charges have been handed down in the matter. Smith has missed 17 games over the past four years and was suspended four games last year for a PEDs violation. berlin calling Posted August 22, 2018 Share Posted August 22, 2018 he'll have more time to get up to game speed and once again will be a top5 CB once he's back into it. no one will consider cutting him when he plays like he is capable of. it's 4 games not 10 guys, they'll be fine.
