TL Receives: 4.7 and a 2022 2nd Round Pick (from Lionized)

@Karnage84 Receives: 1.15 and a 2022 6th Round Pick

I accept.

This is a confusing one for me. Why trade a first round pick this year, even a late one, for a 2nd next year?

Well, in theory, it's not just a late 1st for a 2nd next year, but a late 1st-4th for a 2nd-6th. Upgrading my future 6th to what could be a mid-2nd for the cost of a late 1st to an early 4th this year was fine. (I wasn't thrilled with it, but I like the value for next year.)

I guess I view it a little differently: I would probably ask for that same 4th to move from 1.15 to the early/mid 2nd this year, so you didn’t really get a future pick premium it feels like. But, if everyone is happy, who am I to judge lol.

Yeah, that's an interesting way to look at things.

If all of these picks were 2021 picks, I'd be moving down from 1.15 to 2.5 (ish), and upgrading my 6.15 to 4.7. So, moving down 6 (ish) spots and gaining 2+ rounds of late value.

It's certainly not fantastic value, but I'm good with the gain. Like anything else I do with fantasy football, it's a swing for value: if the future 2nd is really high, the deal feels better. If it's low, the trade wouldn't have been worth it.

I promise.. I will do everything in my power to make that 2nd the absolute lowest it can be. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the rest of my team.
