Broncofan
Both long overdue and no brainer inductions. Bowlen accomplishments so extensive. As an owner the most incredible sign of success and stability - 7 SB appearances and 6 losing seasons in his 34-year tenure as owner. Brandt did way more for DAL IMO than Jerry Jones - how Jones got inducted b4 him baffling to be generous. Nothing but applause for both. Getting 80+ percent of the Committee vote should be a shoo in for both getting inducted.
carrolljcmc
Mr Bowlen should've been in years ago. Long overdue.
AkronsWitness
Can somebody explain to me the process? Do both get in? Or is it one or the other?
Woz
Just now, AkronsWitness said: Can somebody explain to me the process? Do both get in? Or is it one or the other? Both still require 80% of the votes in the discussion room. That said, these picks are kind of like the Senior Committee nods: if you are nominated, odds are you're getting enshrined in Canton since they only have one or two spots a year available (they alternate with the number of Senior Committee bids, so there's only one potential Senior candidate this year; the 2018 class had two Senior candidates (Robert Brazile and Jerry Kramer) and one Contributor (Bobby Beatherd)) http://www.profootballhof.com/heroes-of-the-game/selection-process-faq/
Trentwannabe
Jerry Jones getting in before Bowlen and Brandt is a travesty.

Its truly embarrassing and actually makes me lose a little bit of respect of the voting process. Pat Bowlen and the Broncos have more super bowl appearances (7) than losing seasons (6) in his 34 years as owner.
Thelonebillsfan
Gil Brandt has done infinitely more for the sport of Football than Jerry Jones or damn near anybody else. He should have been in years ago
WizardHawk
At least a decade overdue for both.

Statements like these (which are correct) are why the Hall of Fame committee specifically made a "Contributor" category for entry. A lot of non-player folks who have done a ton for the sport kept getting pushed aside.

Especially Bowlen
