I was naive, self important, etc., but life has a way of humbling us all. Skip’s comments wouldn’t bother be if he was 21. He’d be a “kid”, a guy who doesn’t know any better. I could chalk it up to youthful ignorance. Even at my age (37) I could think he was perhaps naive, maybe lucky in life to have not yet dealt with some form of tragedy. Not acceptable, but you see how it happens. At almost 70? Cheese and rice what a jackass. He knows better. He knew better when he said it. And he said it anyway. Imagine trading morals and decency for the chance to come off as “edgy”.
