SteelKing728
They really should just keep him at his natural position. but then we are talking about the Lions...

wcblack34
I don't think that's a terrible move. He hasn't played a snap in almost 2 years. Bring him along slowly. There will come a time for him to play the left side.
SemperFeist
I’d certainly say moving Sewell to the right side is a smart move by Detroit.
SteelKing728
The Lions will likely make a move for a QB now. Given how badly we have it at QB2, it doesn't help that more teams will be in the market for one.

The Lions are wise to make a move for a QB. When guys with decent starting experience are available for as cheap as Minshew was available, all teams that fancy their chances of competing this year should be considering finding such a guy. I'm not sure that the Lions are ready to compete this year, but I can't blame them for having the attitude that they are ready. It is the right attitude to have. It is the only way they ever will be ready to compete.
SteelKing728
It looks like their only decent WR will be Tyrell Williams this year.

swede700
The only reason they can do that is that they have basically 2 weeks to find a new kicker. I still think it's kinda silly...you should keep 1 of them at least until you find another.

It’s highly unlikely that both kickers are going to get picked up. The Lions will put a couple of players on IR, and then re-sign one of the kickers by the end of the week. Maybe, but their kneecap-bitin' head coach indicates that they have their eye on some other kickers, so it sounds like they have no intention on bringing either one back. vike daddy
With three seconds left to play Sunday, it looked like the Detroit Lions were going to shock the Baltimore Ravens. Then Justin Tucker did the impossible. On the final play of the game, the Ravens' kicker broke the NFL record for longest field goal by hitting a 66-yarder that made it through the uprights by about two centimeters. The dramatic kick was the perfect way to end a dramatic game. The kick gave the heavily-favored Ravens a 19-17 win. Tucker's dramatic kick actually hit off the crossbar, and after that happened, it wasn't clear to people watching at home if the field goal had made it. The two officials standing in the end zone looked at each other for a few seconds before declaring the kick good, which set off a wild celebration on Baltimore's sideline. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ravens-justin-tucker-stuns-lions-with-nfl-record-setting-66-yard-field-goal-on-final-play-of-game/?fbclid=IwAR1KFykBsvbi3xm1PzvE5IFsxGAd_PlaMU0sqQ45_nTPd6coG9Zwn8zFJU4
