I agree, but will they do that? Hard not to root for DC even as a division rival.

SteelKing728
With their season on the line, I doubt they rise to the challenge.
vike daddy
The Lions knew that their playoff hopes were extinguished before their game kicked off in Green Bay on Sunday night, but they didn’t play like it. After trailing 9-6 at halftime, the Lions drove for a pair of Jamaal Williams touchdown runs and rookie safety Kerby Joseph picked off Aaron Rodgers in the final minutes to allow the Lions to run out the clock on a 20-16 win. That result knocked Green Bay out of the playoffs and it allowed the Lions to finish the season on an 8-2 run after opening with a 1-6 record. Dan Campbell: “I’m telling you, we were unfazed. We knew what we were coming in here for, and it was to gain some respect and show what we’re capable of, no matter what happened. And we knew the only way to do that is to win. We got nine wins this season, and we were 5-1 in the division. We got better. And next year? We’ll be better. But next year is about, man, let’s get in the dance and see what we can do when we get in there.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/09/dan-campbell-we-played-to-gain-some-respect-and-show-what-were-capable-of/

The thing that might cause a step back is injuries. Otherwise, I think the Lions are odds on favorites to be NFCN Champs next season. Their defense improved week to week in the last half of the season when they had the toughest part of their schedule. They are loaded on offense.

I'm old enough to remember Barrett being a big-time college QB and potentially a high draft pick (yes, that was only 5 yrs ago 😉) Dude got injured during offseason after signing in the CFL last year, so it's no wonder he decided to enter coaching.
SteelKing728
Oh swede you know me too well!😂 I do expect Detroit to seriously compete for the #1 seed while Minnesota takes a step back from 13-4 (We are probably closer to a 10-7 team) and GB/Chi rebuild.
