Who to Start/Sit Thread: Help Us, Help You

Just a reminder, this thread works a whole lot better when we work together. Give someone advice and then leave your question as well.

I have some already but I think I can be trusted to return the favor:

Non-PPR need a RB/WR and 2 WRs:

Alex Collins vs Buffalo

Chris Hogan vs Houston

Juju Smith-Schuster @ Cleveland

Marquise Goodwin @ Minnesota(Rhodes Island?)

Will Fuller @ New England

Cooper Kupp @ Oakland

Non-PPR League need 3 WRs

Odell Beckham vs Jax(Gotta start right? Even with Ramsey)

Doug Baldwin @ Denver(Chris Harris and a knee injury?)

Will Fuller @ New England

Marquise Goodwin @ Minnesota(Again Rhodes all day?)

The first one I'm confident in the team as a whole but the 2nd I'm concerned because Kerryon is my #2 RB. The 2nd could be easy if Baldwin doesn't actually play but the results might be tough to swallow.

My line up is kind of set for this particular league, but my Flex is kind of a question mark. Thoughts?

Which option do you prefer (ironically listed in the order I'm assuming):

C. Hyde vs Pitt

AP vs Ariz

A. Morris vs Minn

K. Cole vs NYG

C. Godwin vs NO

If I'm able to get him off waivers: M. Williams vs KC

First league, def Collins (I wanted him badly, but picked right before me). Receiver I would think Hogan and JuJu.

Second league is a little more difficult, ugh....lol maybe not Goodwin, but we will move him around a lot, so there's a possibility Rhodes maybe lined up on Garcon. Is Fuller 100% yet? That may be your answer right there. I'm with you on Baldwin, that knee injury is the main reason I avoided him, but that is Russell's guy.

I highlighted who I would start.

I got Flex questions I need solved for 3 leagues  all PPR

League 1

Agholor vs WASH or Crowder vs ARI or Robby Anderson vs DET?

League 2

Goodwin vs MIN  or  Crowder vs ARI

League 3

I lost McKinnon as my RB 2 so I need to start 1 RB and 1 Flex out of this group

Royce Freeman vs SEA, James White vs HOU, Robby Anderson vs DET or Kerryon Johnson vs NJY

Minny secondary is upgraded from last year... Mike Hughes (looks great) & George iloka (best backup safety in league?) added ... They should be incredibly stingy.

Plus upgraded DT & offense .. I'm thinking no for receiving targets vs Minny @ home

I know they will be stingy but if Rhodes is on Garcon, you don't think Goodwin can do much of anything against Hughes? I know Mike Hughes looks great but he is still a rookie. The decision might be made for me if Fuller/Baldwin is out though

No to Morris and Godwin. Not sure of Alfred's role and Minnesota's defense is no joke. Double whammy of no-go there. Godwin has a backup QB and is pretty much big play or bust. Cant imagine many big plays from the backup QB. Hyde's role is also uncertain, throw in the fact Cleveland likely is trailing late and he isn't a pass catcher, probably hurts him too. I love Mike Williams but until he proves something in the NFL its probably safer to wait. That leaves AP and Cole. I feel like AP is the better play. He likely will get a significant amount of touches and they won't be afraid to use him at the GL either. I like Cole alot but I would hope we wouldn't be slinging 10 targets to Cole because if we are then we likely are losing late

#1 Since Jeffrey is out, Agholor might be relied on more assuming Pederson lets Foles sling it. With that said, I really like all of those options. Also, Philly plays Atlanta Week 1. I still kind of like Robby Anderson here

#2 I love Goodwin but Minnesota's defense scares me enough to go Crowder. He is a good PPR WR. If this was a standard league I'd think harder about it

#3, I'm a little afraid to unleash Freeman/Kerryon just yet until we see how they are deployed. White is a great PPR guy but I like Robby Anderson here. He did very well last year, is the best weapon in that offense and might even get some garbage time stats

I would start Agholor vs ATL because he looked really good last season from what I saw and I was impressed with his improvement as a player. We know the Eagles are a great team, there's not much of a question mark with them since the team is largely the same on offense, Wentz isn't playing so there's no question mark about his health coming off an injury, and Alshon is out so Agholor should be the main WR getting more targets.

Crowder is ok but Agholor is just more talented/on a more talented offense I think. And Robby Anderson is just hard to judge, he had some good stat games last season but I don't know if he can be considered reliable yet, plus there is the big ? mark at QB for the Jets.

My question:

I currently have Josh Gordon vs PIT at WR3, Cooper Kupp vs OAK at FLEX, and Tevin Coleman vs PHI at RB2. But I have Tarik Cohen vs GB and Duke Johnson vs PIT on the bench and was wondering if I should shuffle any of my current starters to play these bench guys instead. Personally I was thinking to move Kupp to WR3 and bench Gordon for Cohen at FLEX.

I would definitely start Kupp, no question

I'm curious why you're so high on Coleman since he isn't some ultra-utilized pass catching specialist like Cohen or Johnson and his best 2 games are when Freeman is out. I know Freeman is hurt some now but if he plays, I doubt it affects Coleman much

I think Duke Johnson is a more consistent Tarik Cohen so I like Johnson over him.

I think Gordon is better than Cohen here too.

So I'd go WR3 Kupp, RB2 Duke Johnson and your Flex as Josh Gordon so you can swap him out for Cohen/Coleman if that hamstring is an issue

I don't know much about Coleman, I just thought of him being the "passing guy" and Freeman being "the rushing guy", but that isn't based on much info or research. Also I think Coleman was higher in the Yahoo draft rankings and ADP so I thought of him as better than Cohen/Johnson.

I liked Cohen over Johnson because Pittsburgh is a tough defense whereas Green Bay is average at best. Plus new Bears coach Matt Nagy has said he's "giddy" about Cohen and plans to use him all over the field (coach speak, I know). I could see Aaron Rodgers taking a big lead over Chicago and forcing them into passing situations, which means more of Cohen on the field.

Thanks for your input and thanks for the thread. I think I'm tentatively going with Kupp at WR3, and Johnson and Cohen at RB2/FLEX with Coleman and Gordon on the bench.

I'm new to Fantasy Football so i would appreciate your help.

I've been playing in a PPR league and have the option at RB to put in for week 1:

Cook vs 49erst

McCoy vs Ravens

Ajayi vs Falcons

Hyde vs Steelers

Peterson vs Cardinals

I also have a flex spot open for 1 of the RB or Crowder vs the Cardinals or Garcon vs Vikings which is a bad option.

Since i'm concerned about Cooks health i intend to put in McCoy, Hyde and Ajayi. Dunno if Peterson is the superior option. He would get the full workload so maybe he would be worth it and Crowder could be an option for the flex position but i prefer the upside of the RBs.

Cook and it is not even close. I'd put in Ajyai in the flex. Id avoid McCoy at least for week 1 with the other options yiu have because that offense is gonna be wretched. Peterson shouldn't even be in consideration.
