That 3rd rounder had sports hernia surgery... didn't practice hardly at all... all camp... had to work himself back into shape... was moved to DT from DE in his first snaps in the preseason... had one really bad play and was solid throughout... played a total of 5 Quarters.... limited snap count.. When a draft pick is injured and there is no buzz.. then they only practice for 1 and half weeks and play in the final two preseason games, it makes absolutely no sense at all to cut them... if the scouts trust their eyes and what they saw on film... The reason why people think Chad Thomas should be cut is b/c they there was a popularized belief that he was over-drafted and it wasn't a good pick... Most of those people didn't watch him in college as his tape against Wisconsin was special at times.... So, in people's minds he's over-drafted and didn't deserve to be picked in the 3rd.... he has surgery and no one talks about him... the first time they see him in the 3rd preseason game.. he just practiced a week and is at a new position... he has one glaringly bad play... then people's thoughts on him are solidified... despite Chad Thomas playing well in the vast majority of his snaps... Chad Thomas was not massively outplayed by Nassib or Orchard if you compare the sample of their snaps... He's an unknown to most.. Nassib and Orchards are known...
