The problem was the Bengals and other teams have to look for guys who can sometimes offer more and being just a solid depth player isn't going to be enough at times. He deserves a spot when its all said and done. This is bad news for Darius Phillips and Auden Tate though when you think about it. Erickson will be the 5th WR and ahead of Tate, and Phillips won't get any action anytime soon as long as Erickson is active on Sundays. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did having Erickson on the roster limit Adam Jones getting some run on both ount and kick returns? Tate will get blocked by Core more than Erickson. Tate will get a basic redshirt year to develop.
