Doug Marrone "optimistic" about Fournette's hamstring injury

Better to be cautious with it.  Squeaked through without him.  Not worth risking additional aggravation for that, so early in the season.

Though it certainly is starting to feel like this is just going to be part of the Leonard Fournette experience.  Wicked runs, setting a tone, physically running over and demoralizing teams...and checking injury reports every day all season to see if he's practicing or not, while he deals with whatever tweak is ailing him on a given week.

The man just has too many muscles.  Statistically bound to strain some of them, just based on sheer numbers.

Yeah this is...I'm not sure if I take it as a positive or negative. Its great that he has the ability to get the attention of the defense, but constant nagging injuries that affect his effectiveness (or even takes him out of the game) is not a good trait for a cornerstone player that you are building your team around....especially when he's the focal point of the offense's identity.

We'll have to hit big-time in the draft to find a 2nd back who can carry this offense in the event Leonard gets banged up again next season.

Definitely reason to be optimistic, but also it’s worth noting that hamstring injuries never seem to be predictable when it comes to recovery time.

And they never seem to be predictable when it comes to healthy/not healthy.  Sometimes a guy will come back and seem ready to go all week and then 3 carries into the game it'll flare up and they're back in the tent.  Other times they'll just come back and keep playing.  And then 3 weeks later it'll be an issue again.
