Watching Goff right now...if Trubisky's turn around can be the same we are genuine superbowl contenders...Goff honestly looks completely different.

I was thinking the same thing. Watching this game vs that YouTube clip how is this the same QB??

They added a ton of talent and McVay runs a simple system. They get to the line quick as hell and McVay uses that time to get as much info to Goff as possible. They run through Gurley in the run and pass game because he is just that dynamic. LOT of play action and 1, 2, dump off reads too.

They played the Vikes last year and Zimmer schemed for them beautifully, but McVay didn't adjust. They might have gotten more complex this year but last year they made the game easy for Goff.

Goff is unreal right now.

What happen to the Vikes D one player makes them a bottom three D?

There were several major screw ups that were taken advantage of. Goff saw Barr in man over Woods and just made it a fly route, easy TD. Smart heads up play, another advantage of getting the playcalls in quick and to the line asap. They get to the line quickly and McVay gets him as much info from what they see before the connection drops when the play clock reaches 15 seconds.

Just a solid system, good coaching, and the player being brought on to succeed rather than being thrown in the deep end of the pool and told to swim. Goff is pretty good too. lol

Nagy needs to also become 75% of McVay as a play caller.

That dude is a genius.

I think the best thing Nagy could take from McVay that would work wonders wit this team is getting the plays called in quickly and Mitch to the line super fast so he has more time to read what the defense is showing pre-snap.

Goff had some terrific throws last night, but he also had at least 2 TD passes that were clear mismatches due to him being able to see that pre-snap. i.e. Barr on Gurley and Barr on Woods.
