Week 2 GDT: Detroit Lions At San Francisco 49ers

Recommended Posts

The route combination on that second sack was terrible. Kittle should have ran a seam route to open up the inside routes. Come on Shanny, what was that?

But the drive was killed after Jimmy G held the ball for far too long on first down. That was terrible.

Receivers aren't helping much.  Looks like they're walking their routes.  Defenders are a foot away at all times.

Might have to go get a RZ threat. People here keep saying our WRs are fine until we get into the RZ lol.

Thought that was more so the actual play call. Made it far too easy to defend there. You have to extend the defense down in the RZ.

Oh well, time for the defense to get another stop.

I think its more that Kyle doesn't seem to believe in beating with pure size and physicality.

So, after today's meltdown by Cleveland...Robbie Gould for Josh Gordon? lol

Agree with this. Shanny is all about creating separation and space through scheme, and the problem is that in the red zone, the field is a lot smaller and thus, harder to create that space.

Wouldn't give any more than a conditional 7th.

Finally they let Thomas rush from the inside and he almost gets a sack.....But Lee misses a tackle. Thanks Foster!

Honestly, I feel like if the Lions are paying attention, Riddick should be the running back on the field for most of the game today to be honest. We can be eaten up underneath, and Riddick is great for that.
