GDT Week 2: OAK @ DEN

This literally looks identical to last year.  Just a completely incompetent offense.  The running game has ripped off a few and the OL has blocked well enough in pass pro.  But just overall a joke.  Keenums playing like he thinks he’s going to get hit. Paradis snapping the ball over his head.  Punt, punt, punt, INT, punt.  Looks like a snap shot of last year with the defense doing what they can to keep Denver in the game.

And Oakland doesn't exactly have a great defense. Keenum really doesn't have any reason to have the jitters; he hasn't been roughed up all season.

Denver will get the ball back with some time.  But to this point (less than 2 minutes in the half) Keenum is 4/9 for 18 yards and an INT.

Denvers WRs have 1 catch for 2 yards.

You don’t win football games doing that in the passing game.

It's 1st and goal at the 1 for OAK, 1:20 left - and we then let them run the clock down.    We had 2 TO's left.   They have 2.   The only thing that does is guarantee they leave us no time left for the 2H.

So then after the play....WE CALL TO.  30 secs left.   So the thought to try and preserve clock with only 1 yard left on the drive comes AFTER they burn 40 secs of clock.   OMG that's so terrible on the coaches' front.

They score on the 2nd play - but got to burn 40 more secs.

Just a great example of absolutely TERRIBLE clock management by VJ.    SMH.

So we run the ball first, and THEN we try to get the ball downfield.   DT was OB anyways, but classic 1H that Keenum overthrew him.

Keenum deserves a TON of criticism for the 1H, but VJ gets a boatload for not being able to manage clock effectively here.

The DT and Sutton drops don’t help albeit those were bad passes.

That was some horrible 1H of offensive football.

Managing the clock was the least of Denver’s worries this half, to be honest.

When your offense throws for 18 yards....that’s easily the number 1 concern.

Vance is so incompetent. It’s wild

It really kind of is. I mean yeah, our players aren't executing well. But schematically, we look completely outclassed. Pure talent differential on the defensive side of the ball is the only reason this game isn't a blowout.
