And since he will play DT, easiest adjustment to make. It will be interesting to see if Hankins' gamble to hold out for more $ (as he had tons of interest, but apparently wanted to match the 7M he was going to get from IND b4 they cut him) pays off. Of course, the irony if OAK pays up for Hankins won't be lost on many (although 1 year for a DT is a lot different than many years at 20M per for Mack, still kind of ironic if the Raiders end up doling out significant coin for Hankins). They probably didn’t want to sign either of them before last week because if they were on the roster in week 1 their contract would guaranteed for the season because they’re vested veterans. The Redskins did the same thing in the past and their DL suffered because of it. Bottom line, they sure could’ve used Hank at NT and McDonald at 3-tech vs Gurley.
