While everybody was talking about the Raiders letting Mack walk, I was thinking right now a good defensive player is bordering on being a liability(Clay Matthews). Then you’ve got Fitz who has done this before before to what, 6 teams? The current ruleset means an average QB can look like a GOAT every once in awhile and the actually good QBs(Rogers, Brady) only need enough time to make 3 completetions to reach the opposing endzone from their own 1 yard line. No lead is safe, especially when it feels like refs are intentionally letting teams back into games by calling nitpicky defensive penalties. So it's the weapons making him look good, not him actually being good? Because if it was "Fitz hitting them right in stride with perfect timing", then the weapons generally wouldn't matter. Um, the reason these guys are weapons is because they can get behind defenders and get open. Fitz hitting them in stride with pinpoint accuracy has nothing to do with that. Now I don't obviously believe that Fitz will maintain this level of play for a full season, or even half a season for that matter, but he has always been a pretty solid QB who is streaky, and when he's hot he's absolutely as good as any QB in the league. I also think that TB should definitely move on from Winston at this point, not because of how well Fitz is playing, but because Winston is an immature man-child who will NEVER be a great QB deserving of his draft position (and he's apparently just a bad human being judging from his multiple off the field issues). Fitz might not have the talent ceiling Winston does but he's a far better person (at least in what I know of the two) and has had more success in the NFL than Winston looks like he ever will have.
